Why Storm Why????
« on: January 17, 2011, 08:14:16 AM »
Why make another hook monster???????  The Original Virtual Gravity hooked!! the Invasion Hooks!!!  sounds like the Virtual Gravity Nano is going to hook even more.  On your typical house shot there isn't enough oil to use the super strong bowling balls and Norm Duke even said on storm's website that the tour patterns are long BUT the oil volume is thin, so my guess is they won't need anything that super hooks on tour.  The only place in this country that puts out the FLOOD is the Bradley in Lexington Ky.  And you know what nothing and I mean nothing is going too hook down there.  Brian Himmler was throwing a brand new Theory that was dulled up and it went straight as an arrow at the Bradley.  And tour guys that bowled at the Bradley said that the shark isn't even as slick as the Bradley so why make super  hookers????? They are going to hook too much everywhere except at the Bradley

Typical?? huh!   Typically there is no oil outside of the 10 board the USBC gives a bowler basically 10 inches of error room in that area of the lane if you play the friction everything will hook most bowlers that play in the sludge swings it to the dry anyway  I bet Tiger wishes he had 10 inches of error room when he puts

the reason they created it was because people wanted another one like it was a public request to storm

public request to storm?  they just came out with the marvel it's a solid reactive that hooks a ton  It would be different if they re-released the Virtual Gravity but you can still get them from your distributors anyway

I really had my hopes high with something that was ground breaking or something that just made you have to go out and get it, something that they haven't did yet.  I don't know maybe they will save all of that for the smell, lol.

The ball will sell like crazy, that's why.  And believe it or not, there are places that put out enough oil for their house shots for the super hookers to be not only usable, but a very good option.  A lot of people in my area still throw the VG and do just fine with it.

Rejoice.  Let the players who want the latest "hook-in-box" orb buy the ball and help make the cushion for you to play less aggressive pills and score.  Let them create your play area.

Okay, I don't know about your area but at the 2 main houses where I bowl at. The volume of oil has gotten greater and the pattern has actually been getting flatter as the year continues. Last year all I ever needed was a Storm Natural with pin over bridge and cg slightly right of palm center or a Storm T-Road Pearl. That was all I needed last year along with playing the lanes 20-10 give or take 2 boards. This year I found myself playing the lanes much straighter with my natural, my t-road now has some surface added and on some occasions even been using my Gravity Shift. The deepest line I've played this year has only been 18 to 10 at most with my gravity shift, my natural can play straight up 5 board all night long as long as I'm consistant. So I can see some people wanting another "hook in a box" ball. I'll bet the majority of these requests for another ball like this is coming from the majority of people who can't hook a ball no matter what. If they can, they aren't moving it much more then 5 boards then! I'm actually considering a 2nd Demention to add to my aresenal.
