X factor Ace
« on: February 21, 2005, 08:01:26 AM »
Hi, has anyone resurfaced the ACE ? How many games did it go before the resurface was done ? I have about 120 games will it and the surface has already turn dull but hook is still ok. Should I just polish it or leave it as it is or should I do a major resurfacing (some scratches and track marks can be seems on the ball but not serious ones) ? Can some stormers advice ? thanks

Per STORM they recommended that I resurface mine with a Light Grey Pad(600-800 Grit)or the more common Green Pad(600 Grit).  Follow this with STORM Step #2 polish if available, if not then use STORM Extra-Shine sparingly.  I used the Green pad and then polsihed lightly with Extra-Shine and ball came out very close to box condition.

Hope this helps.

I resurface all of my Pearlized balls with a 400-600 Grit Scotch Brite Pad, then use Ultimate 500 Grit Quick Cut Polish followed by a very light coat of Columbia 2000 Grit Polish. Does the job for me.
