X factor Pearl vs. Green Gargoyle?
« on: December 11, 2003, 06:38:24 AM »
I am wonderin how much these will overlap..My gargoyle is drill with Pin beside ring finger and cg stacked under i beleive..The move is earlier and more controlled but just cannot handle oil at all..I was wonderin if the X factor was a lot stronger or about the same? I need somethin to fill the gap between my roto grip bandit which goes long too and my v2 particle and was lookin at a strong pearl..I was lookin at the roto grip silver streak pearl also..Id really like to try storm again though..How would this ball match up..Would it overlap to much with my green gargoyle? Specs are in profile..
Thanks !

I personally believe you could drill the X-Factor stronger and avoid any sort of over lap at all.

I have a Green Gargoyle and it pretty much hates to see any oil on the lanes, and I've seen the X-Factor in action to tell that is definitely picks up earlier.

The guy I watched throw the X-Factor has an average amount of hand, and the ball had quite a bit of pop in the backend.

Since the X-Factor has an actual marked mass bias, it's placement would have a greater effect over the Green Gargoyle's.

The X-Factor's RG number is close to the X-Factor's while the DIF number is higher, for more flare on the backend.

If you placed the RAD in the strong position, it will flip the hardest on the backend.

The X-Factor and the Green Gargoyle, with similar drillings, will get you the same look on the lane, but the X-Factor will handle more oil and should be used in more oil (but NOT heavy oil) than the Green Gargoyle. So, if you are using the X-Factor, you can change to the Green Gargoyle if the X-Factor is hooking too much & you have to move too deep or it is hooking too early.

Well the thing is , is that my Green Gargoyle HATES oil and i need a very strong pearl...Im not sure of the drilling yet..But i need more backend pop..With my speed i throw like 19 or so and my revs are about medium so on a house shot i have to play straight up even with clean backends and would like to be able to have a pearl ball i can swing as i like pearl better the solid..And i already have a particle ball but thanks anyways for ur suggestion dilasing..But i was wondering if i drilled the X factor stronger say pin over ring cg to the left about .5 inches and RAD in the stronger position would i be able to swing this on my THS instead where i have ot play straigth up with the greenie? Thanks for everyones help..

I have both the GG and the X-factor. The X-factor  is drilled with the pin under ring finger, cg stacked under the pin with the rad under and to the right of the thumb. Green gargoyle drilled with pin above and to the right of the ring finger, cg in middle of the grip, no bh.

I get no overlap with the two balls. Fresh shot the X-factor is great for me, as soon as the shot moves to deep for the X-factor and I start leaving ten pins. I grab the GG and move right 5 boards boom right back in the pocket and got my carry back.

I think they compliment each other very nicely.
