2005-06 Track ball line up
« on: March 15, 2005, 09:11:57 AM »
My new sales sheet I received today has next years ball line up. Xception, Rule GP2, Arsenal Aggressive and Angular in the high performance line plus the April release next month. Freak A Zoid in the mid plus, and the Slash and Heat in the mid price.   NO MENTION OF THE ORIGINAL RULE, SO I WILL ASSUME BY THIS LETTER IT WILL BE DISCONTINUED VERY SOON, although it is still on Track's site for now. GO GET A FEW BEFORE THEY ARE GONE!

It seems like the Rule just came out.  Looking at the reviews for it, they start in 8/04.  That's only seven months ago.  It's not like it was a dud and needed quick replacing (a la Blazing Inferno), I've heard nothing but good stuff about it.

That said, I'm looking to replace my Mutant in the next few months.  Maybe Buddies' will have it on the closeouts by then.   (That's how I got my Mutant, too)

Not a misprint in my mind.....they are already taking 5 high performance balls into next year, and they always release one in July/August and another in late October/early November. That will put them at 7 high performance balls WITHOUT the original Rule by the end of the year. Very strong seller, just a lot of newer, better equipment already.

So, in five years they will reintroduce the rule, just like they are now with the heat.

Hopefully not that long, and its been 8 years since the original Heat was introduced. I can't imagine the amount of Rules I could sell at a mid price point in my shop!

Clint,

I understand that the Arsenals are in the highend category, but they only sell for $15 more in my shop than the Freakazoid. I am not sure what they are going to do with the Rule----but in the past the previous year's highend asymmetrical ball stayed current for roughly a year. Maybe they are changing the strategy a bit.

I won a raffle for a new ball in our late shift men's commercial league.  Decided on Rule and I am sure glad I did.  This is my first Asymetrical core and based on performance will not be my last.

It would be a shame if the Rule gets discontinued so quickly.  I am going to take Clint's advice and go get another one before they are gone.  To risky to wait for a close-out.

When did the website change?  I looked a day or so ago and there were five High Performance balls, one Mid-price Plus, and one Mid-price.  Now it's High Performance Asymmetric, High Performance Symmetric, and Mid-price.

Is the price on the FAZ going to go up to match the Arsenals?  Wasn't it about $15 cheaper then them, which were $15 cheaper than the Rule line?

Shelley,

The prices are really going to depend on what the pro shops in your area want to chare.
The Freakazoid is $40 less than the Rule in my shop. The Arsenals are $10-$15 more than the Freakazoid.

Don't know for sure.....no info to me yet.

PS I agree with the prices as well, its just that Track includes them(Aresnals) in the high perf line, but at a cheaper price.
