3 3/8 by 5 drilling on crash?
« on: March 07, 2005, 09:43:30 AM »
Hey all, Is this the best drilling for pure bckend reaction with this ball? I am a stroker and need something snappier and loved my old voodoo and it was skid snappy. What do you track heads think? Thanks for the help.

Thanks, cooksey

cooksey,

I do not know if that is a really snappy drilling. It will roll up pretty quick. Is this the layout that was on your Voo Doo? If it is and it worked well for you, then I would go with it.

I would probably move the pin anywhere from 4 inches to 4 1/2 inches from PAP in order to get the most backend. Atleast that is what works best for me.

Hey cooksey,

I agree with Ex here, label leverage (sounds like it) will not offer you the strongest backend but without knowing your pap, it's difficult to say.  I also like to push the pin back some from leverage to help store energy for a later reaction.  Hope this helps some..

Hey guys thanks for the help. My pap is 5 3/8 over and 3/4 up. So if I am understanding you right you are suggesing something like a 4 or 4 1/2 by 5? Am I correct in this?

Thanks, cooksey

Yes, a 4.5x4.5-5 should offer you more length and a stronger backend reaction.  Place the pin finger level to above if possible also.
