Hey there guys,

Excaliber and I are going to try to bowl the Hoinke on August 23-25 (somewhere on those days).  This is an open invitation to all of you Tracksters (or not, like you Jeffrevs) to join us and have some fun.  I may even give an impromptu core lesson (if anyone wants), I have some ball slices I can bring to help give you guys some visuals.  

Rev_O, Clint or any other staffers, can you guys join us?  How about you Charlest?  Talked to Ernie McCracken last nite, he's very interested.

This is a tentative schedule of my trip home to the midwest:
Cincinnati - 8/23 - 8/25
Chicago - 8/25 - 8/28  Don't know if I can bowl in Chicago, I'll be with family then.

I'd like to see Chapman throw the ball in person so I can stand behind him and clap my hands to..."Hercules, Hercules, Hercules"...  Please post your reply if your interested so we can even set up dbls/teams here before we go.  Carl and I are looking forward to meeting you guys....seeing your game will also help us layout your future Track equipment.

Here's the cost of the regular Hoinke...
Singles - $48
Doubles - $34 per person
Team - $34 per person
A/E - $15

Damn, I would definately make the trip, but I will be in Florida that entire week.

I know Rick, I cant make any money in Florida!!! Oh well, maybe some other time.

tenpinspro, I'll see ya there. A couple of my team mates were talking about bowling in that tourney. I havnt bowled in the Hoinke in quite some time. I will see you there since I'm only 20 min away from the Bowling Alley. I'll be the one throwing all the strikes. lol

UM.....I would offer to set everything up, but don't think I will have time.

What I can do is call to make sure they are not over booked those days, because usually they will just take walk ins. Lets see what our final numbers are and then I will call.

Well Rick, you know I'm on board with you guys.  I'll be talking to my friend here to see if he'd be interested for the team event.  I'd most likely bowl doubles with him.

I may have to see if I can take some leave and make it up there between regionals. It would be nice to put faces by the screen names and talk balls and drill patterns.

I do have one question regarding bowling the tournament. How would the team and doubles be set up? I am not a money hungry old man, but when I put my shoes on I am wanting to bowl with guys who want to win. I haven't bowled this tournament like Rick, since way back from 76 thru 83 and haven't bowled since.

I only cashed once with my doubles partner shooting a little 1200. Has the shot changed in all these years?

I did go and see how the tournament has changed in all these years. In the old days you shot 5 games for singles and if my mind didn't let me down, you could win about $60000. I remember a guy named Pat something or other shooting 1300 for singles and I don't think it was ever broken. Any old timer remember this?
