Best Discontinued Track Ball?
« on: February 03, 2006, 03:39:05 PM »
I recently bought a couple of track balls, and I am greatly impressed by the hook on the Assassin. I haven't had the chance to try the Money yet, but I hear it is almost as good as the Assassin. What would all of you say is the best discontinued Track ball?

Hex and Freak-Out. The Freak Out revolutionized the way I view particle pearl bowling balls. Truly a ball ahead of its time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the count so far is:
Animal 8
Phenom Unleased 5
Triton Elite 5
Assassin 4

black enforcer-late 80's early 90's urethane, made the other companies pay attention to track

crunch time- fine all around ball both my kids have em (1 was mine)

Freak- nothing like a new freak to suck oil for about 60 games till it croaks

As I scroll down looking at the balls people are saying I couldnt believe I hadnt seen a triton elite until I got close to the bottom of the list! The solid and the pearl both was super balls!

I believe you have not seen this on the list much because those of us with the Solution PP know we have the Elite.......the Solution PP is yet another ball that is not in nearly enough bags right now.

I have never thrown a solution pp but that core is proven.  I'm sure this is an awesome ball.  I just wish they would have used a different logo.  The solution is ugly on the ball.  If it was white color it would look a lot better.

TKO not the contender. It had the elite core but with an added flip cap to increase the diff. Had mine not cracked I still would have it in the bag. It had only 1/2 of one letter left on it that was readable from so much use.

Triton Elite Pearl is the best so far, shot my first 7oo with it. Just got myself the Angular & Aggressive both looking good but still both new so only a few games on them yet.
