StormTrack:
I also thought that we were starting a new tourney every four weeks rather than starting at the beginning of each month.  That way you report your scores every week.  To keep things straight, loose should lock the previous tourney score thread when that tourney ends (the end of every fourth Sunday).

I think I'll make another thread for this:

Week 1 - Avg 211 = 633; Shoot 651 - Pins Over Avg +18  12/1/04
Week 2 - Avg 211 = 633; Shoot 583 - Pins Over Avg -50  12/8/04
Week 3 - Avg 210 = 630; Shoot 747 - Pins Over Avg +117 12/15/04
Week 4 - Avg 213 = 639; Shoot 535 - Pins Over Avg -104 12/22/04

Running Total = -19

Final week: Back on the weird stuff, aw man, shadow had the pair 7 boards different.  Couldn't hook on the left and the right one was flying..what happened?  I tried to open it up and got paid the price with a 150 something 1st gm and came back just trying to hit the hole for 380ish.  Horrible..just horrible.  No discipline, shouldn't have tried to kill it, could've probably still grinded 6 out if it.  Oh well, at least my avg comes back down for next month..lol
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally!  Got back on the great wall!  The shot was pretty nice and I got to use my Rule first 2 games, went 278 and 244 (2 ten pins each game, whiffed one in gm2).  Left 2 ringing 10's in gm 3 so I switched to the Xception right away and finished up 225.  It helps when your body's not hurting huh?..lol
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Second week throwing the Rule and Xception, shot changed.  OB 10 out and track burned up quick, got reversed. High on the pair was 600, the 220 (cranker) on the other team kept going 2-8-10, couldn't get up either.

Good luck all!!

Yeah, sorry for the confusion guys.  I guess most wanted to keep it simple, it'll run from month to month by actual dates, so this month is 12/1-12/31/04.  Next month's tourney starts at 1/1/04 to 1/31/04.

Good luck all!!

That is unfair to some due to the fact that anyone that bowled on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will have 5 sessions this month. I am one of the lucky ones that would bowl 5 times this month so it isn't that I feel cheated. On the other hand I would feel as though I were cheating others.
I think the 4 week system would work better, that way every one gets equal sessions.

Well it wasn't "fair" when those who {me} bowl on Thanksgiving could only use 3 weeks last month.

I do agree with you though about using 5 weeks, it should be the first 4 weeks of a calender month, starting on the 1 st.  .

This is just for fun, lets keep it that way !!!!!!!

Week 1 - Avg 170 = 510; Shoot 479 - Pins Over Avg -31 (Freak & Hex Plosion)
Week 2 - Avg 169 = 507; Shoot 576 - Pins Over Avg +69 (Freak)
Week 3 - Avg 171 = 513; Shoot 605 - Pins Over Avg +92 (Freak & Hex Plosion)
Week 4 - Avg ??? = ???; Shoot ??? - Pins Over Avg ???

Running Total = +130

This week went really well. I shot my first 600 in league.  I have been throwing the ball extremly well as of late. I actually have a shot at winning this thing. The only downside is I don't bowl next week My 600 was largly due to my ability to pick my spares. I had only 3 open frames all day. 2 wretched 10 pins and a 4-9 split. Not bad if I do say so myself

Columbia4Life...no, it is not too late, you can still join for this month, but only as long as you use a Track ball!

As for the 5 week argument...to clear up the confusion, we use only the first 4 weeks in the month, at least I think that's what we decided on during the initial stages of the planning.

what I need is...

average (to be updated every time you post a score)
scores (doesn't need to be broken out into games, just your series is ok)
the night you bowl (just need that info once)
what balls you use (just for fun!)

Just a reminder, the rule is to use your highest average league as of the start date of the tournament and continue to use that league for the entire four weeks of the tournament.  So, if your highest average league on 12/01 was on Wed then you use that for the December tourney.  But if your highest average league is on Fri on 01/01, then you use that league for January.

Week 1 - Avg 201 = 603; Shoot 677 - Pins Over Avg +74
Week 2 - Avg 202 = 606; Shoot 624 - Pins Over Avg +18
Week 3 - Avg 202 = 606; Shoot 606 - Pins Over Avg 0
Week 4 - Avg 202 = 606; Shoot 606 - Pins Over Avg 0

Total = +92

Week 1:
Well.. The first two games consisted of 5 baggers each, then nothing. For some reason I would get a 5 bagger then I was completely unable to strike the remainder of the game. The last game, the shot started to transition a little bit faster than I was looking for which led to a split, but all it all, I was pleased with the evening. My spare shooting went quite well which was what made me the most happy considering it's been pretty poor lately. Threw the AU again all night. This is pretty much my go to ball at this point.

Week 2:
Well.. Week 2 was pretty much a pain in the butt for me.. I went through the first game bowling well (224), then in the 2nd frame of the 2nd game, pulled a groin muscle. Needless to say, I couldn't get down on any shot after that, and I just feel fortunate to have stayed even for the remaining two games. I actually ended up using a different ball tonight than I have been in past weeks (Freak instead of AU), simply because the weather conditions/oil patterns have been so wet/cold that getting the AU to turn over has been like pulling teeth. The Freak starts up MUCH sooner than the AU, giving me a good look.. Just wish I could have thrown it right. This pretty much ends my month, since the next two Mondays are going to be off weeks for me

Week 1 - Ave 209 = 627; Shot 201 168 214 = 583 (-44) Rule, Unleashed, Untamed
Week 2 - Ave 208 = 624; Shot 278 185 224 = 687 (+63) Untamed, X-Ception
Week 3 - Ave 209 = 627; Shot 254 204 225 = 683 (+56) Untamed, X-Ception
Week 4 - Ave ___ = ___; Shot ___ ___ ___ = ___

                                 Monthly Total +75
Recap: Week 1
Still bowling in wall hell. Outside bone dry at 12, inside about 80 to 100 units. I have dropped my average 28 pins in 6 weeks since they walled it up like this. Can't figured out. Everything is such an extreme over/under. Bowling great other places. Averaged 213 in a tourney on Pattern E this weekend. Shot 700 in hardest house in the area. But on one of the biggest walls in the country can barely shot 600. Go figure but, I had someone put a huge wall out at one of the local centers to practice on and my Untamed seemed to work well. Made some big changes in my game for this and I hope it doesn't screw everything else up.

Week #2 Recap
Yeah, I am finally out of thr red after nicely dropping my average 30 pins in 6 weeks. What a bad ride I was on. I have been having such majors problems on our leagues huge walled up shot. Tenpinspro and my ball driller gave me so ideas and they worked well. Took an Untamed and sanded it down to 400. Stood on the last dot and forced myself to drift left. Then I threw my Untamed right into the middle of the lane with a slow spin on the ball. Should have been a 300, every shot packed, but 278 is what a game and a half was before. Not bad for not even throwing at a mark. Around the 3rd frame of game 2 the shot started to break down and I would not move until the Untamed took the wall right out of play for everyone. Then, I made the move to the X-Ception. Moved right, looked 45 ft. to board 8 and ripped her right up the back of the ball for a 224. Thanks for the ideas Rick.

Week #3 Recap
Pretty much the same as the week before. I find it amazing that I can throw decent scores like this and not even look at a mark. Getting to know when to switch balls though. Better 2nd game this week and this is the heaviest wall they have had. In reality though bowling like this is no fun. I think that I am going to have to drill something with the pin underneath the fingers. Wish I knew what. Maybe the new Rule Particle. I wish they were drier early cause I love this X-ception.
