Almost 2 weeks into the first month now, leaderboard seems to be shaping up quite nicely!  Only three people under average for the first two weeks (and of course i'm one of them!)  That's a good showing for Track if I may say so myself.

Bowling on Monday nights (Mostly because it's the only league that I DON'T miss because of treatments)
Week 1 - Avg 192 = 576; Shoot 654 - Pins Over Avg +78 (Throwing AU this week)
Week 2 - Avg 194 = 582; Shoot 706 - Pins Over Avg +124 (Throwing AU again)
Week 3 - Avg 198 = 594; Shoot 708 - Pins Over Avg +114 (Still throwing AU)

Slipped a little this week from my past few weeks of progress. I think some of it had to do with the weather change a bit. It's gone from 60's and 70's to 40's and 50's. Everyone in the center was a little confused at first, so I felt fortunate to get out with a decent series considering how straight things got.

Week 1 summary:
Well I bowled my best set of the year tonight: 279-258-225=762 with my Mutant for a +114 over my current 216 average.  I do not throw the Mutant very often, but the lanes had a bit more oil than normal tonight.  I was able to get to the pocket pretty consistently and carried just about everything that was close.  I threw a couple of bad balls (rushed my shots) in the 8th and 9th frame of the third game to blow a chance at an 800.  Oh well, I am still happy with the set.  

Week 2 summary:
Had a nightmare start tonight - I tried to use the Animal Untamed from the gutter and opened 4 of the first 5 frames of the first game (3 big splits) and ended with a GREAT BIG 148 .  I switched to the Mutant for the next two games a scored well (248 and 218) playing inside.  I had to slow my speed way down and start the ball around 20 out to 10 at the arrows.  The lanes had a mess of oil and the house had not striped the back ends (can you say carry down?), so the only way I found to combat this was to shoot the slow inside shot.

Week 3 summary:
Had a good night tonight - I shot 711 (216, 258, 237).  I again used the Mutant all three games with a similar line as last week but not quite as deep, around 15 to 7.  I talked to lane man about the change in the shot and while he did not admit they are oiling the lanes differently, he did not deny it.  There were a lot of kids bowling today due to the area schools being off, which could account for the carry down I saw yet again.

Week 4 summary:
Tonight I shot about average, 672 (260, 224, 188) using my Freak Out for the first two games and my Animal Untamed (recently polished) the last game.  The lanes were noticeably drier tonight - the pattern was about 2-3 feet shorter and the back ends were flying.  The lanes also changed quite a bit as there were four lefties on the pair tonight.
