Clean & Dull Status
« on: March 02, 2007, 02:10:40 AM »
Hey, does anyone know the current status of Clean & Dull?

I had my pro shop order a giant bottle of it but they are saying that all the suppliers around them are out of it.

If Ebonite gets rid of Clean & Dull I am going to throw a Dixie Cup at their main office.

An 8 oz bottle?  And the police station is only 4 blocks away!

Is Dull cleaner good for cleaning your golf clubs?  I'd like to use it while sitting around in my underwear, surfing the net, drinking my $4 coffee from Starbucks.

I hear that is what Tiger does, except instead of surfing the net he watches the Golf Channel!

golf clubs>>>  don't know

as for tiger>>. you would need to speak to chad about that.

as for the 8 oz bottle.  average savings when compared to buying 2- 4 oz bottles of clean and dull.  about $5.00

which means your next coffee at the big star would be free.
and just think how you will enjoy that while surfing the net in your "what"

I just wanted to add a comment that Rick Leong made.  The Track and Columbia polishes and cleaners are made my a company owned by Al Alhm.  If Ebonite doesn't keep him under contract to continue to make the Track and Columbia products, he will come out with his own line, something he should have done a long time ago.  Also, the Clean and Dull and Clean and Tacky are two different products.  I miss the Clean and Polish, that was my favorite polish from any company.

They are???   always thought they were basically the same product. the names are different so people would not worry about using the product on their polished ball.

I hope they come back out.  Life without Clean N' Dull is pretty bleak.  I also love Power Wash as a cleaner.

fluff,  trust me,  it will be ok,  and life will go on.
more then likely it may come out under a new name.
and if you get a chance,  try lane concepts extreme dull.
you will not be sorry.
excellent product.
and unlike C & D,  which now was only available in a small expensive 4 oz. bottle.   extreme dull comes in a large more cost friendly 8 oz. bottle.

now i know some shops might still have some of the old C & D in 8 oz bottles left in stock.  but according to our dist.  they have not been made in the 8 oz bottles for sometime now.

and of course C & D is available in quarts.  but most people do not buy it by the quart.

Yeah, I try not to smell my hands or anything while im in "my shop" because I deal with acetone, clean and tacky, polish, the list just keeps on going. I used the stuff last night on a ball, and yes, the reaction I got today was the same as before. Thanks fellas.

The same stuff or not, C&D is on the "Acceptable at any time" list while C&T is on the "Only before or after competition" list.  Maybe that makes a difference to you, maybe not.

I am not the type of person to clean my stuff during a tournament. It's not that big of a deal to me.
