Drilled my Havoc 1st impressions
« on: May 06, 2004, 01:50:48 AM »
Well I just drilled the 15lb Havoc with a 2"pin.  pin even and right of ring and MB just past val with a weight hole on PAP.

Left it in box condition and went to the synthetics that were freshly medium oiled.  This ball is way too strong.  sending the ball from the left corner over 5 arrow it was left of the head pin.  tried different hand releases and axis rotation and finally settled into something I could throw right of head pin.  Nice roll even read and my opinion needs longer and more oil.  I'll wait till this ball settles down a bit before I mess with the cover.  With longer oil this ball should work much better.  It was losing axis rotation too early and by the time it hit the pocket it was flat,  from 80 to about 10.  talk about squeeky clean backends.  I will have to test it more across different conditions.

I also compared this to a polished track magic that was drilled pin above ring stacked.  Much better setup for the conditions and a lot more area to play.
