Drilling For My Animal
« on: July 19, 2005, 07:58:40 AM »
I am looking for a hook set drilling,or roll out if you perfer for my Animal. The house i bowl in is oiled med/heavy gutter to gutter with a slight more oil outside.I didn't realise that just about every high average bowler in this league started out playing up two or three board and by the end of the nite were playing up ten so i tried this with my Slash drilled four by three but had a hard time carrying untill the end of the second game. Now the team that we are bowling happens to have the two highest avg. bowlers in this league and both are both using Animals. Both these guys seemed to be ok so i told them both that it was hard to understand how they could use their Animals like this in all three games without it over hooking by the second or third game. They both told me that they use a hook and set drilling whenever they bowl here.I shook my head and said thanks for the advise. my problem is i forgot to ask what a hook and set drilling is so maybe i can get some help on the Track forum. If this helps i am a low revs plauer that throws about 15mph with a pap of 4 1 /4 over and 1/2 up.I have an undrilled Animal in my closet with a two to three inch pin and just under three ounces of top weight. Thanks for any help.

Go to Track's website. Click on the drill sheet by the original Rule bowling ball. They have a diamgram that gives general ball reactions at the very top. It is bery useful!
