Dulling up a RevMaster
« on: October 29, 2003, 10:32:44 PM »
I have a RevMaster which I really like.  I left it in box condition and have scored well with it.  I am needing a ball for oil, and since I get a similar reaction out of a couple of other balls, I was thinking of dulling up my RevMaster.

Has anyone done this?  If so, what reaction did you get out of it?  Would it work in oil with a little carry down?

Thanks for your help.

Scott

I tried this and did not like it. I don't know if it was due to the Low RG this ball has but it burned up early and did nothing on the back end of the lane. I smooth the cover a little and tried it again and it hooked a little more but hit like a marshmallow. I polished it back up and started scoring well again. I'm not trying to discourage you from trying it because it may work for you. For me it was a bad experience.
