GP2 Mini Review
« on: January 20, 2005, 01:47:08 PM »
Track was kind enough to send us a few GP2's ahead of time so we could see what they do.

Layed one out for one of the shop guys. His PAP is 5 3/8 up 1/2. Track diameter is 12 inches. Medium rev rate. He would be considered a tweener. We put the pin 3 1/4 from his PAP, MB 5 1/4 from PAP, with the pin 2 3/4 inches above the mid-line of his grip.

We figured this ball was made for oil so we tested it on our 43 foot sport pattern. This ball gave him more room and overall hook then his other equipment. Compared to his Rule with the same layout the GP2 picked up a roll much earlier and had more overall hook by about 5 boards. He now has a nice three ball asymetrical arsenal with GP2 being his most hook followed by the Rule which clears the heads better then the GP2 but still has strong midlane reaction and then the Xception for skid/flip.

Nice job Del, keep up the good work.
