Hmmm, thinking of tinkering with the Machine
« on: May 27, 2008, 06:29:48 PM »
Prob a little more than a tinker actually!! The pin/cg/MB alignment on this ball is what is now called 'pro cg' The cg is about 1 1/2' out of line left of a line from the pin to the mb.

Now what im thinking of doing is getting the pin under the middle finger and swinging the mb over so its past my PAP ( which is 5' over) and punch the X hole right through it!! Good idea or will it roll bad? I dont use it much so im willing to to take a chance with it

Adrian,

This layout is a good length and stable type set up. The only problem is that you have to be careful because it can cause some to roll over the middle finger or even reverse flare for some as well. I can try to let you know if it would be safe if you can get me your PAP and approx axis rotation.

Thanks,
Carl

Couldnt this possibly hook and set with a standard run of the mill PAP.

Not sure about my rotation, i know it aint 0 or 90 anyway!!, The only time i had trouble with an Assymetrical of mine going over a finger a little was my Phenom when i(very briefly) had it drilled pin next to ring finger and MB in the track area.

Might even just go pin under ring and hole 5- 5 1/2" over instead of 6 3/4. That would be like my Phenom is laid out low, except with the MB a bit further around

Threw it last night how it is, with the surface(my faithful green pad!!) i have on it now im getting an alright hook/set look so ill prob leave it alone. When my Robo gets here its layout should give me a little earlier hook than the Machine with similar shaped move off the break so i think i'll have the look i want already with that(and saved myself $70 for a plug and redrill!!)
