Hang on a second guys, unless it's a typo I have, we may be changing scales because we don't have a "19" in length....maybe George can shed some light on this?  If I'm correct then the 52 hook rating on the MM will also have to be adjusted accordingly, make sense?

One thing that is important to me is;

 Are these balls (designs) from the previous honchos, or are these from Del since he came back?

Not saying the balls that came out while Del was gone were bad, it just seems like when he is in charge, balls seem to be what "bowlers" are liiking for.

I am curious to know how strong the equation would be to say my Crash or Fired up.

I have been waiting for something like the equation for some time. I know we have the arsenal artillary, but the RG is too low for my ball speed and revs.

I get goosebumps just looking at the pics of them.  I can't wait until mine show up.  I promise to let you guys know what they are like as soon as I get a chance.  I'm sure that Clint and Rick will beat me to it, but I'll add my two cents as I think I might fit the bill as more of a hand player than either of them.

These are Del's or at least now approved by Del since he's been reappointed as President of Track.

The Equation is the tri-core w/ flip block like the Heat Blast but now add in the ti-insert/nugget.  Looks similar to the core on the Assassin and Money but inverted.  However, that core was referred to as Power-Rev Core, not sure if they're exactly the same.

Mean Machine (Robo Core) has been slightly altered to produce an intermediate differential of .020, slightly lower then the Machine but still pretty strong.

These are indeed Del's bowling balls.  Del has actually been back as the president of Track for several months now.  He called me back at the end of January to let me know.  I may have been one of the first people to find out about him being back at the top of Track.  I know I've mentioned it in other posts, but I am a follower of Del's work going back to the RPM Swirl, the MJ Slam, several of the Nighthawks.  He is one of the best.

Do not look at the finger.....you must focus on the glorious world around you....(butchering Bruce Lee's opening line of Enter the Dragon, while he slaps the little boy silly for not looking at his opponent while bowing)

I'm not in R&D, I'd like to be though.  Typical thought process I'd say is that once you have a successful core that has proven itself again and again, it always dangles in the back of the mind of an engineer/designer to say, "Hey, wonder how that core work in this new cover?".  I'd say that's how it starts and then they try making some to see the overall reaction.

My guys and I at the shop are maniacs, they'll try anything once.  Layouts, polishing, sanding, different grits, weight holes, you name it.  I opened my doors to 4 old ball drillers that used to work in different shops letting them do their own personal equipment there.  This actually gives us 5 views on something and it opens my eyes to someone else's opinion. It's good though because much of this is a trial and error game.  You can only learn so much from technology and drilling but fine tuning a piece to a player to a particular shot comes with experience and basically just trying it out.

One big lesson for everyone out there, never accept any ball you take out of a shop as if it were written in stone.  If you don't like it, change it, change the cover, try a weight hole, try another pattern....anything.  Nothing is ever written in stone...keep an open mind that all things can be changed to match up to your game better.

Is it just me, or is the Equation going to have a similar reaction to the Artillary(Just looking at core specs and such). Is the Equation going to be at the arsenal series price point or more in the heat/solution price point?
