Mini review: Phoenix
« on: March 12, 2007, 05:07:16 PM »
Ok, so I drilled the Phoenix 4x2 with a hole one inch to the right of my pap which is 4 1/2 by 1 1/2 so it ended up being pin below my ring finger with the cg at about 4 o' clock and its a 1 1/2 inch pin. Even with this drilling it goes long and arcs hard. I would say this is a medium-heavy ball because it goes too long to be a heavy oil ball I think, but I haven't bowled with it on heavy oil yet. I could play anywhere from up 5, to 40-5 and not lose my carry. Was fairly forgiving but I think that I need to take it down to about 1200 grit to get a smoother reaction. Will post a follow up once I've thrown it more. Great ball so far though.
