Track 811A. Easily the most angular ball to date from Track.

A few weeks ago, the tournament leader on the PBA Tour was using the 607A as his strike ball
and the 811A as his 10 pin ball....

I believe it was Mike Fagan...

He also can throw his 919C, Mission, or any other damn bowling ball as his spare ball. Because he knows how to throw it straight without throwing plastic. 811A is the most angular ball Track makes. The 607A starts earlier so I am pretty sure that's why he was throwing that one. 508A is another good choice. Let us know how it rolls for you.

I think most would agree that most pro's throw a plastic ball for the 10 pin...
I think it is unusual to see a pro throw his most angular ball for a 10 pin...
The comment made was nothing more than a STATEMENT OF FACT...

That was indeed what he was throwing...
No one was attacking the 811A...

IMO, using one's most angular ball for a ten pin is like using your 460cc driver to PUTT...

Now I'm sure Rory can putt with his driver if he wanted too...But he uses his putter to putt...

And MOST pro's use a plastic ball for their 10 pins...

Tell that to Norm Duke as well and he will laugh in your face. You tried to diminish the 811A saying it goes straight because Fagan uses it as a spare ball. He uses all his bowling balls as spare balls just like Norm Duke. That is FACT. Before you open your mouth really understand that most pros can throw all of their bowling balls straight. MOST NOT ALL choose to use a plastic ball.

I made a comment that he was using his 811A as a 10 pin ball...
Nothing more... Now before you open your mouth, learn how to read...It's a skill...

I wonder WHY you are making a Federal case out of a statement of fact...

Could it be that maybe the 811A is not the hook/angular monster that you make it out to be....

In my shop, I would never tell a customer that it's a  hook monster or extremely angular ball...

It's a good ball when used on the right condition...

May I remind you of yesterday's angular balls...

920A, 715A, 718A, 607A....

Now for the last time... When watching the pro's on TV,   the majority of the time they use a
plastic ball for 10 pins/7 pins...

These are simply the FACTS...

If as you say, they can "throw anything straight"   Then why do MOST use a plastic ball???

Commonsense...   When the 718A was released,  the first thing the rep said at the seminar was... "Yes we know
the 715A wasn't as angular"  So give it a rest already...

These balls are good, but don't make them out to be big time angular...Cause history as shown that most of them were not...

Customer's come in and pay their hard earn money for a ball, and they expect to get what they ask for...

The 811A is a decent ball on the right condition...But I would never sell it as Extremely angular...

If you want angular Balls,  I will tell you what balls on the market are Angular...

now

are we clear

 "laughing in your face"

In the real world, I have a customer who has the 715A, 718A and the 607A...

The 607A is by far his MOST ANGULAR of the three...

The 718A is his go to go to ball...

And the 715A is his go to go to go to desert ball...

His teammate has a 811A...

It is his third game ball...

Again, just the facts from real bowlers who pay for their balls with their hard earned money...

I think they would laugh in your face if they read some of your comments...

still clear

May I remind you of the ads when the 715A first came out...

"extremely Angular"

Then the 718A came out and it became "extremely angular"

etc etc etc...

Now once again....No one is knocking the 811A...

I just prefer to tell my customers the real story of how IMO a ball performs...

Feel free to tell your customers, in your shop Whatever you want...

Oh and BTW.... I recommend a plastic ball to my customer's for their 10/7 pins...

It's what we call

Commonsense...

just so you know

Surprised nobody has mentioned this, but...could it be that he used the 811A for spares because there was a TV incentive for that ball?

Sir,  that is a good point....

However, IMO,   NO....

Why...Because if the 811A is advertised as a Angular Ball...Then why, why would he be using
it as a spare 10 pin ball.... IMO, that would lead customer's to think that the ball does not
hook....

Now from what I see while watching the Pro's on TV is this...

When bowling for the BIG MONEY,   MOST  { laughing in your face }  seem to be
using a plastic ball...

Tho I'm sure they can all use any ball and throw it straight and pick up the 10 pin...

Heck, even I can...LOL....

But when push comes to shove and they are bowling for the BIG BUCKS...

They seem to use PLASTIC...

go figure...

btw sir.... No where did I say the 811A was a bad ball...Our friend "willie" is on the
defensive....

I wonder why...

Like I said, In my shop and IMO,   this is not what I would call a "most angular" ball...

Now the Eruption and the Frantic are not "angular"   yet they are both great pieces of
equipment when USED ON THE RIGHT CONDITION...

JUST LIKE WHAT I SAID ABOUT THE 811A...

Just because the shelf talker says, "extremely angular"  does not make it so...

Maybe Woodex will come on and post about the 715A...He bought that ball when it first
came out...It was billed as "extremely angular"   That was the last ball he ever drilled that was a
Track ball...

And when he went to the seminar on the 718A, the first thing the Rep said.."Yes I know the 715A
wasn't angular"    yo think!!!!!

Now once again,  the 811A is a good ball on the right condition...Does it have more angle than a
C ball or a T ball... Yes...

But that does not mean it's Extremely angular...

Now I'm sure if Earl was alive... Willie would say he would" laugh in your face"...

Now my work here is done....

I'm off to play golf....

I think I'll use my R11-S driver to PUTT...

How do I lock this?  I tend to lock topics when they degenerate to this level.

Under your original post's title are 3 icons, one with a piece of paper and a pencil (edit), one with the paper and a garbage pail (DELETE), and one with a shadowy figure and a master pad lock (this is LOCK THE THREAD). Only the original poster sees these. If you read someone else's thread, you won't see these icons.
