forgive me if I'm mistaken, as I'm a relative newbie. But should the 910a turn out to be similar to the 706a but stronger overall?

As far as I have been lead to believe, that is THE theory behind the 3 series to 5 series to 7 series to 9 series balls: they are stronger and handle more oil as you go up the lines.
The last letter generally describes the reaction shape, with "A" being angular. Sowhat you say, "should the 910a turn out to be similar to the 706a but stronger overall?", describes Track ball naming philosophy. You can apply that to the 503A and the 300A also.

910A is similar to 706A but stronger, is simialr to 503A but stronger, is similar to 300A but stronger.

Not getting the  505C2. I mean, isn't the "C" supposed to be continuous, but in the description they made it go longer. Making a ball go longer isn't synonomous with continuation.

In the original naming system, C stood for CONTROL. Hopefully this is what the system is going back to, because the CONTINUOUS balls look a lot like control balls to me.

"C" has been used, as far a I recall,in Track balls for continuous and for control.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. If a resin ball goes longer, it tends to conserve more of its energy and more of its flare for the rear half of the lane. Normally when it does that, the backend tends to lose power slower and can be more continuous. Taking into account all the normal human factors plus drilling and surface and where the bowler is playing on the oil pattern and how his release allows him to use this ball.

I read the blurb on the web page for this ball, the 505C2 and what they say made sense, in describing what their goal was. How well they achieved it will be seen in sales and people's comments. It seems pretty logical to me, given some of the strange descriptions we have seen for many balls from other manufacturers.

Yup, I know what brand I'm throwing this season.  Throw in the 300c Solid, 503A and 706T and I'm going to be a very happy man.

Let's just say these are the best releases for Track in a while. You generally see maybe 2 or 3 out of 5 released that are must have balls. But so far I just don't see how you can just get one of the new releases. The 300C solid is a much improved core cover combo that rolls stupid good. The 505c2 is what everyone has wanted. The kinetic core is back. The ball is a touch cleaner than the original but still gives that smooth arc from the core. Just because it goes longer doesn't mean it is an A ball by any means. The 706T is easily one of the best "T" balls ever made. It is a very versatile cover. Who ever decided the colors of the 910A should be rewarded. The color stands out and really look incredible. You will know when someone is throwing this ball. Not to mention this one rolls stupid good. These balls are awesome additions to the line. If you haven't thrown a track ball in a while give one of these new releases a shot. Because I promise you will be surprised by the reaction they give you.

I agree with Curt 100%. I know I may seem biased, but between the best core of all time coming back, and making a ball that is like the 811a and 706a on steroids, then making a more useable 300C with a great new core, and then there is the most useable and versatile ball I've ever thrown in the 706T; clean through the heads with a T cover for the oil down lane. I have quickly put some previous releases on the bench to make room for these heavy hitters.

The cleaner through the front that was described in the manufacturers intent was meant in terms of energy conservation, not overall ball motion. I personally see less deflection and more drive through the pins. I threw these balls on the WTBA Paris, and was able to use the 505C2 on the fresh, and when the pattern opened up go as far left as I wanted with both the 706T and 910A

If you've got ANY questions about the new releases or any Track stuff, feel free to contact me via facebook at facebook.com/deadwoodproshop. and don't miss out on these balls.
