Track K.O. Punch
« on: March 27, 2005, 04:52:35 AM »
I would greatly appreciate any info on this ball.  I am aware
that it has long been discontinued, however the one I am
considering to purchase looks to be in great shape. Thanks,

Tony

What core did the KO Punch use? My teammate has the KO Punch Pro and loves the way it rolls - much more so than his Freak. Does Track currently offer anything similar? I Know that they like to recycle their cores. Not sure if there is a coverstock match for it though.

I have the Triton T.K.O. heres the link
http://bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=87

This was the 2nd ball I ever bought and I shot some great games and sets with it. It has the hardest back-end out of any my equipment. I have not thrown it now for probally 8 months. Maybe I should break it back out and see if I can break the slump i'm in. hmmmm!!

Should be this one: http://bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=89
According to the drilling sheet, the core shape should be as same as http://bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=2002 . This is a very, very, very strong ball, cut the oil, heavy roll, and great carry. Mine was drilled pin over fingers, cg kicked out half an inch no w/h. I gave it to a no hander after 3 games because the ball hooks too much for me even with a tame drilling.
The strange thing was, my K.O. Punch was Green/Blueish with matte finish out of box as well as the K.O.Punch Pro listed above, but the the coverstock showed on the box was " Power Plus reactive with Mica"

Hey I drilled up one about 2 weeks ago that was sitting on the used ball rack to try something new and I really like this ball. Very strong but it is smooth as well. It hits like a train and carries very well. Hope this helps any other questions ask.

I had a KO punch pro. It was HUGE. Unreal ball. I got a NIB one back when i got my EMB XF, so a while ago. I used the KO over pretty much anything else in my bag. If you need something for oil, and you find one of these, dont hesitate.

good luck and high scoring

KO Punch was a reactive ball (Power Plus with Mica)
KO Punch Pro was a particle ball

Both balls used a very similar core (if not the same) that was in the Triton Elite/Crunch Time/Several other Triton line balls.

KO Punch had a solid backend reaction and the Pro hooked more than anything else at the time (and outhoook most of whats out now). If you have a chacne to pick one up, go for it then have your driller match it up for you.

Nope, I'm sure the core shape was as same as the Hex Darksides'.
