Walter Ray Williams Jr?

The PBA website is showing Walter Ray being with Track now...does anyone know what he threw this past weekend.  Also why does he keep changing his equipment...how do you think he'll do with Track this year on how he'll do this year.

WRW has not "been" with any company since Brunswick did not re-sign him. He has been using several other companies' balls (other than Brunswick, of course). He has been relatively more successful with Dyno-Thane balls recently, than others.

If he is now "with" Track, the question is have they actually signed him to a contract? or is he just using their balls. BIG difference.

I think you are mistaken charlest. I'm pretty sure hammer signed WRW after brunswick did not. I know there was a big mess about hammer not paying him, but correct me if i'm wrong.

Just visited the Track Web site, and WRW isn't listed as one of the staffers.  However, I wouldn't take this as gospel, given how slow the manufacturers are to update their sites.

Interesting thing about Track's site, though:  The staffers are shown using a "sports card" metaphor, and you can "flip the card" for the bio and stats for each staffer.  There's even a card for Alyssa, who is the young lady from the Revmaster ads, but her card doesn't have the "flip" option enabled.  So I guess we'll never know her DPL stats...

I watched WRW on strike pass.  At one point he was using a Threat.  They also said he was using a Thing Returns as well.

On his site, he stated using plastic early in qualifying.  He can score with just about anything.

Sorry. You are correct. I left out Faball (not Hammer; minor technical matter, as his contract was with a company not a brand name.). It was a one year contract, that Faball never fulfilled. But it was such a problematic relationship, I think WRW may not be happy even mentioning it also. I never saw WRW leave an 8-10 on TV until he did with a Wheel.

thanks, CountryClub. I had to look twice. Like a previous replier, I am VERY surprised that this did not appear on Track's website and not on WRW's own website.

The balls I saw him using were a sanded Thing Returns, a polished Threat and polished Triple Threat.  He did the best with the Triple Threat, or so I thought.  He threw the Threat and Triple Threat against Hurd in the round of 16, and used the Thing Returns in the block of 64 qualifying.

I tried to send a message to Track, asking about this, using their website but got a script error.

A friend of mine asked Walter last week after the Council Bluffs tournament.  He is a free agent, so he can throw whatever equipment he wants.  During match play I watched he did use the Triple Threat.
