You pick it!!!
« on: January 16, 2005, 02:16:19 PM »
OK, I have a few GP2s being shipped to me soon.

Give me a few ideas on how I should lay one of them out. I already have atleast one layout picked.

1- I will have one set up leverage pin and MB on or beyond my VAL. Primarily this layout is going to be for my own comparisons of the GP2 and the Animal.

I have a few others in mind, but let me know what you would like. I have had some success with a few balls drilled with the pin inside of the ring finger, so I may try one like that with the MB in the #3 position. Tell me what you think.......

Ex, try a drill with the pin above the finger and the mb in position 3. I am curious to see how such a strong ball reacts with the pin above the fingers. If you remember from another thread, LaneBed said balls drilled with the pin above the fingers roll very well.

I may very well drill one of them with the pin above the finger line....however.....and this is straight from Del at a seminar I attended well over a year ago. On Asymmetrical balls you take better advantage of the core's strength and get better roll out of them when you keep the pin below the finger line.

Until he told me that I always drilled stuff with my pins high because I was afraid of clipping the middle finger. I used to track high so I was afraid to drill a ball with the pin below the fingers. Once I did I absolutely loved it. So I drill most of my asymmetrical stuff with the pin below the finger line. I have a Rule with the pin above finger and MB in #2 position and I like the one with the pin below much much better.

Hey Big Me,

I wanted to but didn't try this yet so you can be my guinea pig..  I wanted to copy my Unleashed which had the pin under bridge and mb near val.  I think it was around 5x3mb.  At the time, I wanted to control some of the backend strength of the Unleashed and it does, it just gives me a very nice controlled smooth reaction throughout the lane.  Wondering how this would look on a GP2, got another one on the way....thanks bud.

Yet another layout that I was thinking about Rick......I am telling you, aside from me being 6'3, brown hair, green eyed and you being 2'6 asian and about the size of one of my legs. I think we were seperated at birth.

I was thinking of that layout because I had this on a Fear Factor well over a year ago and I liked the different look it gave me compared to my Unleashed.

LOL!  That had me rolling around on my chair laughing out loud!

As for the drillings, I definitely have to agree with drilling one the same as the Animal for comparison purposes.  It would also be good to drill one the same as your Rule for comparison purposes as well.

If you're stuck and can't decide how to drill one of them, you can always send one to me...to keep and drill for myself (I wish)!  *Sigh*, Track makes me drool...

How about something like..

Pin centered over fingers (maybe 1/2 inch above..)..

MB just right of thumb..

touch of polish...

Something that can be used on a little less than a flood???  Would like to see how versitile it is and if can drill up for house conditions if this make sense....lol
