Any Good Places to Eat?

It's been a few years since I've ventured into Reno.  Curious to know if there are any places you would recommend.  Any type of food is fine, not looking for deals, just looking for some good food, could care less about price.

I would highly recommend the Steakhouse at Harrah's.  My wife and I had dinner there, and it was one of the finest meals we have ever had.  A bit pricey, but very much worth the cost.

the atlantis had pretty good food last time i was out there there friday night buffet is like a 7 nationality also a awsome sushi bar

Couple of recommendations...

1)  Best Breakfast buffet is at the Atlantis Toucan Charlie's.  Good quality and good selection.

2)  Best steak we found was at a place about 15-20 minutes south of Reno on 395, it was called Washue Falls Steak House.  Doesn't look like much on the outside but the Prime Rib (son) and Ribeye (mine) were almost "melt in your mouth" good.  It was a touch pricey ($27.95 and $28.95 for our meals respectively) but worth the drive and the money.

3)  Widest variety and pretty decent food was on south Virginia.  A place called Claim Jumpers.

If you like steak, then Ruby River on South Virginia across from Peppermill is really good. Washoe Steakhouse on W. 4th street is where most Reno locals go for steak, so that is a good choice as well.

Most of the casinos have decent food, but you are better off if you can get away from downtown. Atlantis, Peppermill and John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks all have better food than anything downtown. If your stuck downtown, El Dorado is generally better than the others.

If you are looking for a great buffet, my first choice is always the Island Buffet at Peppermill. Atlantis is good as well. As for downtown, El Dorado has the best of the bunch if your without a car.

If you want seafood, Rapscallion is the best in Reno. It's located on South Wells ave.

Also hard to beat the Peppermill for good seafood. Friday nights the buffet will have a seafood theme, but they have a good selection most nights. Peppermill also has a seafood restaurant called Oceano, which is pretty good. If your stuck downtown, Fairchild's Oyster Barý at the Silver Legacy will do in a pinch.

Always been a fan of Brew Brothers at Silver Legacy. During the week, they have great happy hour deals from 2-5. Two-for-one pizza, cheap wings, cheap beer.

Also, if you walk south on Virginia past Eldorado and the Fitzgerald, stop by The Nugget and try an Awful-Awful. It's the ultimate morning-after burger after consuming one too many drinks the night before.

Brew Brothers is an excellent choice. But on the weekends, it can be hard to get a table as it is very crowded.

OK so there''s Rapscallions.....great restaurant and food.  Its a bit expensive but you do get a great meal.  

There''s also Bonanza Casino on N. Virgina St.  This in on the other side of 80HWY on Virginia street.  There''s a steak house in this little casino.  They cook and serve PRIME steaks.   At the Cactus Creek Steak House.  It was soooo goooood.  And the service was superb, unmatched.  Highly recommend this little steak house for a great away place to go.  Tuxedo waiters, great host, courses brought to you on little carts and just very very classy service.  Even though you don''t have to be as well dressed as the staff.

go ahead and www.yelp.com .....for Cactus Creek Steak House or Rapscallions....you will not be disappointed.

The Silver Peak Grill on the River has very good food. They have heated outdoor seating when it gets cool at night. It's relaxed and kick back, and it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the Casinos.

After a Sunday night of singles/doubles, it was nice to get away from the casinos and chill with a good glass of wine and a plate of Crab Tostadas. I'll be heading back there next year.

I will second the Brew Brothers. The peel & eat chilled shrimp are huge and at $11.95 for a pound you can't beat the price.

The Nugget off the 80.

Sunday Night is Seafood Night. Incredible. Oysters Rocefeller, shrimp, crab legs, salmon, halibut, prime rib. The best seafood I have ever had. Wow is the word.
