Bracket Receipts
« on: March 20, 2009, 01:21:41 AM »
Does anyone know if USBC keep a copy on record of the entries into the brackets for the previous year?  Example:  Filing taxes but need the receipts from signing up at Albuquerque.  Thanks in advance.

Steven,
I know they obviously keep a copy when you sign up, but I am not sure that they save from prior years. I think that is just in case there is any issues for that squad. Not sure if you are a member on Bowl.com, but you can ask that in the USBC Open thread there and might get a quicker response from Matt C the media guy, he usually is pretty quick with answers.

Yes they do.  I got a complete record from last year sent to me that included the main tournament, Bowler's Journal and the Roto-Grip Challenge.  You will have to contact Melissa Nestor in the USBC Financial Department.  You can reach her by calling (800) 514-2695 between 8-4:30 p.m. CDT.

While I am at this....can I do the same thing with flight information?  Would the Airline that I flew with last year have a record of the flights I was on last year?

Not sure...I just went online to my credit card company and went back through my old electronic records till I found the charge.  Most companies will let you access your e-records like 5 years in the past.  Unless you paid cash or something?

They don't take credit cards at the bracket counter, least they never have in the past.  You must always pay the 1800 2300 in cash in you hit the all button in team event.  Although for the life of me, I wish they would just send you a 1099 if you actually made a profit from brackets.  Always sucks when you put in $2500 in brackets, then get a 1099 for $2500 when you didn't make a penny.  This year going to have to get creative with taxes to figure out make the bracket costs a loss.
