Had that happen in team after game two. Singles/doubles we had two medium rev players playing together, 3 very low rev players, and one no thumb medium/high rev player.
Never moved from a 5 board area and made very small adjustments when the oil moved around down lane taking away the small bit of friction. We were the first squad of the day. I think as the day goes on they warm up a little and may give bowlers a little better chance.
It was also the first of April with temps in the low 70s, I'd imagine the heat is now a factor. We were sweating in that place when it wasn't hot outside.

Last week was amazingly beautiful, all week long. Most of the week's temps were at 78 degrees! Had one day when it went up briefly to 98 degrees....then a coldfront came through and brought it back down to 71 degrees!! Very pleasant indeed.
As for the lanes breaking down gradually........NOT!!! They wouldn't let it happen! It was an absolute refrigerator in there all week long. I heard, and saw many a spectator complaining about how cold it was in there, and our spouses had to wear blankets the whole time we were bowling! Of course we didn't notice it much, but it was evident they wanted that shot to hold up!
