Hey everyone!

I thought I would post a little review on my Frankie May that is setup for Sport Shots.

Pin to CG - 2 inches
Pin to Axis - 5 3/4 (pin under middle finger)
Layout - Control @ 35 degrees
Surface - Wet Grey Scotch to Wet White Scotch to May's Cleaner

This is such a fantastic layout to have in my bag. The ball gets through the front very smooth and with the shorter patterns it will get down the lane because of the distance from my axis.

What is nice about the reaction is that the ball will generate a very predictable and controllable read most of the time around 40 to 42 feet. The strong roll generated on the back part of the lane allows the ball to hit with a tremendous amount of power that you wouldn't expect from this layout when the ball has carried that far down the lane.

It's been one of my go to balls on the sport shots and the predictability and readability of this layout allows for me to make timely adjustments with confidence. My most recent achievement with this layout was a 4-game block in my Sport Shot League of 935!

I've also put a similar layout on a Violet Gargoyle at 5 1/2 from my axis and use it when the Frankie is a little too strong too soon. This immediately fits right into the mix and that layout produced a 722 at the Bowler's Journal.

Steve--I looked at your profile but didn't see your stats.

Can you post your stats.? <ie. rev. rate, tilt, ball speed, PAP, etc.>

I reliase your can adjust to lane conditions better than most with your hand and ball speed but inquiring minds would like to know if they would match up as well as you do with that type of ball with that layout.

Wow......"Axis = 4-right by 3/8 down" <-----Spinner with inverted track I am guessing.....yes or no?

I wouldn't go as far as to call myself a spinner....but I do generate some side turn on the ball....lol.

Steve--I consider myself a lower tracker 4 7/8 over and 1/2 up. It's not a bad thing. I need to generate more speed with the balls of today though.
