How should I drill the G-3 and Burgundy Gryphon?

I have the Blue Sparkle Grphon drilled with the pin above and in between the fingers.  That drilling gives me good length and great backend.  I have a Green Gargoyle drilled the same way.  The Green Gragoyle goes longer but snaps harder in the back.  I got the G-3 for the house I use the Blue Gryphon and the Green Gargoyle in, med to dry with strong backends.  I got the Burgundy for a soaked synthetic house to compliment my Purple Ice Exec.  Should I drill the G-3 and Burgundy the same way I drilled the Blue Sparkle?

You can try to and place the pin below your bridge this time on the burgandy and also on the G-3.

I love the Burgandy and G-3
My burgandy is drilled with the pin above my bridge and it is polished and handles carrydown and on fresh is great. The G-3 i use on a house shot and it's such a hard hitting ball.

shot 1000, exactly in a provincal Qualifying tournament with the G-3
204, 260, 279, 257.
after the 204 game using a columbia formula i switched because of some poor carry. and problem was solved.

If I get out of work early today I will be getting them drilled tonight.  First of all, what is the bridge?  Sorry for my ingnorance.  I was thinking about drilling them the same way I have the Blue Sparkle drilled so I can compare them to each other; since that way they will all be drilled the same.

Beeker,

There is no ignorance unless you choose not to listen to those who want to help.  I would try to drill the G-3 with the pin below the ring finger.  If you try to go above the bridge again, you are going to be really close to the Gargoyle since the the G-3 is designed to go longer than the Blue and kick harder.  Putting the pin below the ring finger will give it closer to the length of the Blue, but with more pop at the break point.  Put the pin above the bridge on the Burgandy.  But, I would recommend putting the pin below the ring finger on the G-3 to give it a different look from what you already have.

Thank you for your response TWOHAND834.  The reason why I want them to be drilled the same is because I want to get a similar look with the G-3 as what the Green Gargoyle provides.  I am hoping the G-3 will replace the Green Gargoyle.  I don't feel completely comfortable with the Green Gargoyle. It is very inconsistent for me.  I feel that the Blue Gryphon is more forgiving, hits harder and carries better.  I seem to get a lot of ugly spilts and stone 8 and 9 pins with the Gargoyle that the same shot with the Blue Gryphon would have left me an easy spare or a strike.  I think it is the sharp entry angle the Gargoyle provides.  If I miss just a bit, bad stuff happens!  I might run into the same problem with the G-3.  I am hoping the G-3 carries better than the Gargoyle, with a similar reaction but with a little more forgiveness.  

With that said, how do you think I should drill it?

Well I drilled the G-3 with the pin above and in between the fingers.  I talked it over with my friend who runs a pro shop and we thought that would be best.  I used it tonight for the first game and part of the second.  It gets through the heads nicely and makes a very strong move to the pocket.  I switched to the Blue Sparkle once the G-3 started snapping too hard.  Once I get a few games of practice in with it I will be able to adjust before switching but I didn't want to try figuring it out while bowling in a league.  I will post a review after I get to bowl a few games with it.  As of now I can say that it is as strong as the Green Gargoyle, if not stronger, but has a much smoother move.  I think it is going to be the exact ball I was looking for.  

I will be drilling the Burgundy on Friday and using that in a different house.  I am not sure how I should drill that.  My friend said I should drill that with the pin to the right and below the fingers because it is a particle ball.  He said if I drill it to go long, like I have the Blue and G-3 drilled, that it might burn up all of its energy trying to turn over.  He said particle balls should be drilled for mid-lane because that is what they are designed for.  He said particle balls don't have the backend snap that resin balls do.  They are designed for a more of an arcing motion.  He said I am better off drilling it that way and then adjusting the cover to get the reaction I am looking for.  Does that make sense to any of you?   BTW I have a Purple Ice drilled the way he mentioned and that does give a nice arcing motion.
