Ogre Pearl Anyone RICO one?
« on: February 27, 2008, 04:27:21 PM »
Has anyone ever put a RICO drill on an Ogre Pearl and if so what were your findings.

Im just waiting for mine and it will be the first Visionary ball Ive ever had. I was thinking of putting a Rico drill on it until I had some good advice from a couple of site members. They said that it was such a great control ball that you really didnt need to do it. However Id already ordered a 1 to 2 inch pin ball.

I am thinking of trying to do the same as they told me to try, a 4.25 X 4.25 drill but Id have to have the pin below the fingers rather than above as they have theirs. However I'd still like to know if anyones ever put a Rico drill on one before I commit myself.
Thanks.

I think you should have gotten a 3 inch pin for the rico layout, However the Ogre Pearl is a very controllable ball to start with. I drilled a Ogre Solid Rico and really didnt like it.
My Ogre Pearl is drill 4.5 x 4 and i completly love it. Not snappy, just a smooth strong arc. and i have plenty of hand.

Many thanks to both of you.

I think I will go for the 4.25 X 4.25 drill with the pin just below the fingers. Sounds like it will fit exactly where I need a ball to fit.

My first Visionary and probably the best control ball I could have asked for.

Thanks again.
