Scott,
What is going on? Been a while. I had quite a few sets over 700 with the Mean Green at USBCs. I also remember going 30 clean and 740 in Singles as well one year I want to say in Baton Rouge. The Green never left my bag for what seemed like 10 years because it never stopped performing. The ball seemed to be just as good after 10 years as it did right out of the box and I never once did any significant resurfacing to it. I did the typical Clean and Dull and re-polish every 9-12 games and hit it with a fresh abralon pad every 30 games roughly.
The Green and Crimson Executioner will always be my all times favorites. Highest series in my life was with the Crimson. Something about the cover on both those balls (I remember it being the same coverstock and only difference was the core) really matched up well for me and even though they were both angular in their time, I could use them both in league as well as tournament conditions. My fondest memory was bowling a SASBA stop in Memphis at Winchester back around 2002 and averaged 250 for the 9 games of qualifying and beat Chris Johnson in a semi-final match and DJ Archer in the championship match of a stepladder. Many memories with VBP in my hands.
