900 Global Network, this ball carries even the off hits!
« on: February 10, 2014, 11:56:42 PM »
900 Global has out done themselves!!! I give this ball 5 out of 5 stars.  This ball is great for every type of lane condition. This balls gets down the lane, whether you're a cranker or down-and-in bowler, and rolls up hard to the pocket.  This ball even carries the off hits! It's a must have ball, complete with an extra 5-10 pins added to your average!

Mine has been sitting next to the drill press.  Just waiting for some Grip-Loc outer sleeves to arrive so I can punch it up, probably this weekend.

What is the issue you're finding, Spider?

I'm just not seeing a good roll unless the back ends are super clean.  Last night I subbed in a league, and the oil was a little heavier than normal.  I threw my normal shot and it just slid.  So I moved way outside and the Network labored.  I switched to my Hy-Road Pearl and it was coming off the spot hard.

I would try changing the surface. The Network is much stronger than the Hy-Road Pearl and sounds like it's burning up. How is your Network laid out compared to your Hy-Road? Also, remember the Hy-road is a symmetrical, and the Network is a STRONG Assym.

My Hy-Road is a label type drill with the pin left of the ring and the cg in the palm.

The Network is drilled with the pin above the ring finger and everything else is slanted to the left haha.

I don't know any of the technical aspects, such a numbers and how it's laid out, but I had the Hy-Road drilled to be pretty agressive overall and the Network to go longer and do most of it's action on the backend.

Spider, are you a right handed bowler?

You said the CG / Mass Bias are going left from the bridge (i.e. on the left side of your thumb)

Is this correct?

I wasn't overly impressed my first time out either. Mine arrived with 4+ oz top weight. Went 50 x 3 x 50 with a HUGE P3 hole. Thought was 3" pin to pap for high flare since high int diff will retain the tilt. 1:1 ratio at 100* total to use on medium shots. Thought it would be quite aggressive but on THS and fresh Stone Street it didn't impress.

I'm 400 revs, 20 mph, 8* tilt, 60* rotation.

I'm trying it again tonight and bringing every Sia pad I own. Hope it just needs to be dialed in.

IMO...3" pin on this strong of a core and a hole at p3 equals ultra smooth reaction. Especially with your rev rate.  Now if you were speed dominate type player I would say that drill would be ok but 400 rev rate at 20 mph is not speed dominate.  Good luck...

3" pin to pap on asym retains rotation.

What makes you think this layout would be smooth?
