« on: February 13, 2007, 01:23:29 PM »
I HEARD THIS IS A GREAT BALL FOR $62, IS the POWER GROOVE all its cracked up to be? I heard its a backend monster on dry to light oily lanes??
I was thinking of getting it to go with my Total Inferno...

Yes, it is a backend monster on light all the way to mediums if the backends are clean. Personally, If I had a total I would probally get a power groove to go under it. It hooks alot more than most people give it credit for. I have seen this ball surprise quite a few people in good and bad ways. Some have got one and it hooks alot for them and they like it, others have got one for dryer lanes and have found out it hooks way too much for them.

i have the power grove dry'r, i luv it, i have taken it down with 2000 abralon pad just to make it more even rolling, for the price its great. whats nice it since it dont hook a ton when you get locked in you usually dont have to move very much when the lanes change.

i have one and i like it on a dry lane, but i kinda noticed its really speed sensitive. but i think it would compliment your TI very well

way too much ball for what I wanted. I was looking for a lighter oil ball, and it ended up being only about 2 boards tops weaker than my toxic... I would reccomend the dry r though. by the way i had the blue and ivory one. good luck.

The DryR is a totally different animal, SMOOTH and nice the regular PGs are pretty nice light to medium balls with strong backs.

The PG's are awesome. Actually, awesome is putting it lightly. I recommend this ball to anyone. It will hook as much as the hi-performance balls. Get one!!

power grooves are great balls at any price and the fact that you can go on ebay , bid on one, and get it for under 30 bucks has nothing to do with it.I think at that price you can easily rid yourself of any doubt.
