Resurgence vs Noize
« on: August 16, 2008, 10:08:33 AM »
For those of you who have both. Is there enough of a difference between the 2 to justify buying the Noize?

I'm just curious. I own the resurgence & i was thinking of buying another ball, possibly the Noize but if there's not much difference between the 2 I think I'll look for something else.

Would you guys say the Noize is even stronger than the Momentum Swing?  My initial guess when it came out was that it's a step under the Swing.  After watching videos I got the impression that it's even weaker than an Arch Rival, which the numbers suggest as well.  But with the Resurgence cover it has to at least be stronger than the Momentum, and the core pushes the ball down the lane some so I'm thinking it's possibly not very different from the Swing in hook, just more angular.  Thoughts?

I would definitely put the Swing above the Noize in hook potential, both are angular on med-heavy oil. I haven't really been able to throw the Swing that much because I dont see enough oil right now, but I've been able to throw the Noize for 2 games before having to put it away.

My take on Columbia's High Performance lineup.
C-300 High Performance by Angularity: Momentum, Arch Rival, Noize, Swing, Rival, Resurgence
C-300 High Performance by Hook Potential: Resurgence, Swing, Arch Rival, Noize, Rival, Momentum
--------------------
My Arsenal:
Twisted Fury
Raw Hammer Pain
Blue Vibe

I think on overall hook the Arch Rival and Noize are very close maybe too close to seperate I do think the Noize has more continuation.  I know my Noize is a beast.

c300 overall hook Resurgence, Swing, Noize/Arch Rival, (too close to seperate)
Momentum, Rival

This was my take on the hook potential: Resurgence, Momentum Swing, Momentum, Arch Rival, Noize, Rival.  It's really hard to believe the Noize is not stronger than the Arch Rival though, considering the cover.

The Arch Rival is actually a very strong ball. I haven't seen very many people talking about it, which to me is very weird.

You could easily make a 3 ball arsenal + spareball from columbia's lineup
Arch Rival, Rival, Dead Flush
Resurgence, Noize, Dead Flush
Swing, Momentum, Dead Flush
Resurgence, Momentum, Dead Flush

Columbia's lineup compliments everyball very well

The Noize is listed as having more backend than the entire C300 lineup except for the Momentum Swing.

I would say the Noize is stronger than the Arch Rival, but the Arch Rival would be stronger off the dry. The Noize definitly needs oil. Its onl good for me for first game then I have to switch, which is when I usually go to the Resurgence, but I heavily polished my Resurgence.
