Valentino: Resurrection & Snake Oil...
« on: June 09, 2008, 03:35:54 PM »
Below is a picture of the ball undrilled OOB...

Out of Box

I used a well-worn 4000 grit Abralon pad to apply "Resurrection" to resurface the ball after 50 games....

Resurrection Cover Prep

Picture of ball after "Snake Oil" application...

Snake Oil

Products are easy to apply
"Resurrection" pulled a lot of dirt and oil out of the cover.
The "Snake Oil", applies easily. (I normally use Beans Special Sauce).
I find that Beans Special Sauce gives a glossier shine, wit h less effort.

Resurrection and Snake Oil are both excellent products.

Is it just my browser or did that ball change color from brown to blue after the Snake Oil?

You have to remember that with that ball being a pearl ball, adding some surface to it like it is in the first picture will naturally make it look different in color compared to the shine and color of the third picture.

AGREED! I've tried it on two different balls and the reaction was better than anything I've used to date (including Bean's). My quart is supposed to arrive today and then it's going on my Twisted Fury!

The OOB picture was taken earlier w/o flash...Should appear "purplish"...the AFTER pic was taken with a flash...the flash blew out the reds, and made the ball look BLUER....Could also be your monitor?

Kevin,
I'm a lefty. Used it on Pro Anvilane lanes. shooting 9 to 5, up the back of the ball...shot 222-238-258.
I bowled (sub) 24 games in the house last year and averaged 180.
I could never play that line with this ball...Resurrection and Snake Oil gave me the look I needed on that day.

Just received my 4oz one/two punch package last night. Unfortunately I just finished cleaning and resurfacing my Momentum and Rival. I took them back to 4000 grit with a abralon pad, and then on my Momentum I used Re-new it.

I bowl to night and I’ll take down some numbers on angles and breakpoint. Then I redo both balls with the Resurrection, bring them back to 4000 grit and polish the Momentum with the Snake Oil for next week on the same lanes. I’m curious on how they will react

As for Snake Oil, it is a cure all. Cures blindness, sleep disorders, impotence, lack of strikes, dead ball syndrome, ugly ball syndrome, toasted heads, finicky midlanes, and it smells good too. lol, just remember to read the warning label especially the part do not consume.

Duke, I told you! I'm a lefty too and let me tell you, it is so much fun watching the ball rebound from 15, or 10, or 5, or even 2 right into the pocket.

Berreez, try the balls with just Resurrection then Snake Oil. skip the 4000 abralon step, for the first application. The 4000 will make the balls really skid and have a mellow backend, because there isn't enough length for recovery.

it depends on how fast your throwing the ball.

Resurrection should give you an earlier roll. Snake Oil should give you a little more pick up on the backend, it will help the ball not be so squirty, when the carry down transitions.
