I think I got a good defect ball.
« on: April 25, 2005, 11:41:00 AM »
I bought a Tornado Warning about a year ago and ever since I bought it and learned to hook it, it has hook the whole lane on FRESH oil. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I don't crank the ball and I don't throw it slow. I throw this ball about 15-16M.P.H. It is drilled neutral(I think) with 1/2' pin. Here is the ball.

I could try to get a video of it but it would be very low quality. The reason I ask this is becuase it says in the description that it is a mild hook. This ball hooks the most of any ball I have ever thrown and I threw the Xxcel at an Ebonite Demo Day.

in any case the site is wrong, this ball is very strong. there is a guy in at my house who has the preal of this ball and he drilled it up side down and for a lefty and the ball is still strong. and yes he has no hand.

I don't see how I am trolling. I am being honost and you shouldn't be so quick to judge people. This topic is not a joke and if you want, I could get a video of me throwing this ball and you will see just how much it hooks. If you have any doubts, ask Kingpin268. He has watched me throw it many a time.

Actually this is no joke. I've seen this ball and on medium-heavy oil this ball is burning up by 35ft no lie. I never figured out why this ball hooked so much. He doesn't even have that much forward roll more side roll. We'll have to get a vid to show yas. This ball puts my UI to shame in burning up.

Ok, now THAT I don't believe.  YOu must have a VERY skewed idea of what medium heavy is, because if you actually used a logical definition, any ball COULDN'T burn up.....Just nit-picking, but still....That is a huge exaggeration.

In our league, my UI does some pretty good skidding. There must be some decent head oil present then. Now my friend takes out that ball and it almost starts rolling a couple of feet after it hit the lane. NO lie.Maybe they said entry level as it burns up so fast that it doesn't have any backned, lol. I have yet to see that ball skid more than 10 feet without trying to get into a roll.

I'm not sure that I can believe any of this . . . My brother has a Tornado Warning, and I've thrown the ball. While it did have a decent backend to it, I didn't see it "burning up 10 feet down the lane." While my shot does have more of a forward roll, I can tell when a ball is burning up . . . This ball didn't burn up for me or him . . . So I'm going to have to say I don't believe this post is completely true.
