New ball help ...
« on: April 26, 2007, 11:36:43 PM »
I am at a crossroads about getting a new ball.  I purchased a ball in Dec. of '06 and it was the SR300. The ball work very well for me but it has lost alot of its reaction. I have gotten the ball baked twice now by my pro shop and the ball just still seems to be non-effective anymore.

On or around April 9th I made a change and went back to my old ball, the Over Time. I have been bowling pretty well with it, shot 289 last Sunday. Last night shot the worst that I have in about 4/5 months. I have been debating about getting a new ball and I think now is the time.

The question is which one? People have been telling me to get a Total NV or the Angular One. Should I wait for the next batch of new balls to come out? I have heard rumors about a New NV and a New One. What do you guys think ?

The shot that I bowl on is Heavy/Medium but more on the Heavy side.
I bowl in 3 leagues in that house and my Avg. are :  209/203/204

June is bowl expo, that is when all the companies will show what they have coming out.  Atleast wait till then, see if there is a better option for you at that time.  Another option, Ebonite discontinued a lot of bowling balls, if bowl expo doesn't have anything you want, the ones that were discontinued will be on big discounts from the online stores, so you can pick them up CHEAP !!

Good luck

If you don't want your ball to loose reaction like the sr300 i wouldn't buy another ebonite ball. they are great but its a short lived success. Wait a few months b4 you buy anything see what all the companies come out with.
