Honestly, as good as the Widow takes to surface adjustments, I don't think it will be a huge loss.

I have'nt tried the widow polished.what would be a good procedure? just polish the 4000 grit surface or take it down to 400 and polish? could also just polish of the big deal and be done with it.

Think Hammer will make a Brown Widow after the recent discovery of one in the U.S?

Checked your profile and I don't see a DOOM or a VIBE in your arsenal.

Hammer isn't making every ball for heavy oil.   Those just seem to be the balls that get the hype.

There is a user or two on here that think the DOOM is the most underrated ball EVER.

The ball is damn good.   Check it out.

Another option is to polish the BW.   That ball is super easy to change surface on.  Here are the steps.

1. take ball out of box
2. set in spinner
3. apply liberal amout of EBONITE factory finish polish with sponge
4. turn on spinner.
5. hold sponge on ball until polish is absorbed.
6. etc, etc.

All of this could take as little as 10 mins.   The ball is real good polished too!!!

the doom looks like a great ball but I can't get rid  of my intense inferno for it.it's been a great ball for me.I was hopeing for a pearl widow to see if it would give me the same look as a pearl carbide bomb.

For those of you who still have never bought a Doom, you are really missing out on a great piece of equipment.  This ball will handle med to light oil very well.  It's a great ball to play any part of the lane.

Now on top of the Doom being opne of the best balls I have ever had it's counter part the Pain is also a freaking awesome ball.

I have the Doom and Pain and both are drilled pin above the bridge(5.5" from pap) cg kicked right to 1oz(1" right of grip center) and no balance hole.  This is the BEST 2 BALL COMBO I HAVE EVER HAD!

My arsenal for this season is
Pain (stacked leverage)
Pain (pin above bridge)
Doom (pin above bridge)
plastic spare

I have won a good amount of cash in just 4 weeks of bowling with this arsenal.  This is the first time in years that I don't want to add any other balls to my arsenal.  That's how good these are.

So don't worry about not getting a BW pearl.  It's really not needed in Hammers arsenal of balls.

Jason the Doom is just a fantastic piece of equipment.  The ball hit's and carry's great.  I love the control I get from it.  Of course if the back ends are too dry then this ball just turns left.

I remember you telling me about the Pain and how it is a little different than a dull Doom.  You were right.  It's a little smoother than the Doom I had dull.  Plus if I were to dull the Pain to the same grit as I dulled my Doom; it would be a lot stronger.

The Pain has become my favorite ball.  I like it more than my Doom.  Just a little more!  What I like the most is both my Pain #1 and Doom are both drilled exactly the same and work great on different conditions.  When the Pain becomes too much the Doom fits right in.

These two balls are the most underrated balls on the market.  There's another strong point about these two hammer balls.  The Pain and Doom work great on tough lane conditions.

There's a lot of balls out now that only work really good on House shots.  Not the case with the Pain and Doom.

I know a lot of bowlers want a pearl BW but don't over look a Pain and Doom.  Also like Jason has said, just polish a BW with Ebonites factory finish polish and you have something close to a pearlized BW.
