Hammer or Elite?
« on: February 27, 2006, 05:55:39 AM »
I was thinking about buying a new ball i was already reading reviews and everything but i would like a better opinion. I was thinking of either buying a Hammer Saw Blade or Elite R47. I am right handed, bowl on synthetic lanes and throw the ball between the 1st and 2nd arrow, and not a cranker. Which ball would work out better i need a new ball so bad at the place where i bowl they now add a lot of extra oil. They used to only have light to medium so my Track Solution and Hammer Switch had a hard backend but now they go straight. I need a ball that hooks in heavy oil.

Road Hawg hooks a ton... just drill it strong.
--------------------
Arsenal:

EPX-T1 - Heavy oil
Action - Heavy to Medium oil
Action Packed - Medium oil (Coming soon)
Original Inferno - Medium oil
Smoking Inferno - Medium to Dry
Blue Dot - Spare ball

I was looking at the Road Hawg as well but it doesn't hook much for my brother but i think it's because 1 He didn't get it drilled right to make it hook good 2 He just doesn't bowl like me at all. So i don't know i'll look more into the Road Hawg

John D Davis how does the R47 hook on light, dry,or medium oil? Because my house sometimes has heavy oil not all the time but a lot of times it has either light, dry,or medium oil

right now it's only really between

Ebonite The One
Hammer Doom
Hammer Saw Blade
Track Machine
Elite R47
Ebonite The Big One

I would like to make a choice tonight so if everyone could give me an opinion that would be good. It's pretty much really between Doom and The One

I hope you like it bud.  The ONE is supposed to be a great ball.  There are a lot of bowlers very happy with it.  Ebonite and Hammer are making some great equipment.

The most hook possible will come from the drill layout.  Just get it drilled with the pin in a strong position.

Tell them you want between 3 to 4 oz of top.  That should be good.
