I threw it tonight on older wood lanes with a 38' house shot and a good amount of oil.  I will start by saying that this ball is not a hook monster like it is advertised as.  My 357 magnum had about the same breakpoint but cover 3-5 more boards on the backend and a much more pronounced move to the pocket.  The No Mercy had a soft arc of the point and when it hit the dry boards it carried very well.  When I missed left and put it in the oil, it sat and deflected off the head pin leaving 10 pins.  When I missed right it hooked much earlier and rolled out again leaving 10 pins.  I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed off of its first showing.  I will update throwing on a couple different shots.  Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions.

I think the surface maybe too smooth out of box if hwne the ball us surpose to be a hook monster.  I compared the 2 ball in the shop and one was duller than the other.  I plan on changing the surface for the heavier oil patterns.
Teammate used it league with his with less sheen the ones in the shop and it hooked more than the Black Widow

Sometimes, the NO MERCY can be on the bowler's end and not at the pins.
Rumor has it that Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal Lecter) eats these bowling balls for breakfast.
The ad in the new BTM November issue is well... to say the least Hammer has a terrific sense of humor, the review looks good also.

Long Roller, your review is the complete opposite of what I witnessed from the pro shop owner i help out.  He drilled his like the #1 drilling and from what I saw and what he said he's not been able to play that deep with a ball in a long time.  He has med-low revs and was able to pretty much play where he wanted with it.  What does it look like after drilling as I'm thinking I may have looked at the lines for the layout incorrectly.

I have only thrown this 2 games and some balls need a breakin period and that is what I am hoping for.  I will post back after a couple more sets and give an update.  I'm just warning not to run out and buy one if your looking for a hook monster that is going to out turn the BW.

Longroller....   What weights did you end up with and did you use a weight hole. Did you use the 4 inch pin and Hart in track? I threw this ball at a sneak peek and is definitely a board or two stronger than the demo widow with pin above bridge and mb right of thumb with the suggested #1 No Mercy drill. The demo No Mercy however did not have an out of line cg so with drill #1 with pin around ring and HART in track cg was still close to palm center.  It sounds like your ball would be a great lefty set up. My demo ball was out of line with cg left of pin to hart a whopping 1 3/4 inch. I also talked with Brian Graham and he agreed this would be wonderful for a lefty #1 drill. For a righty the best we could do with mine would be a #2 drill with pin next to ring (approx. 4 " PAP ) and HART just to right of thumb...which is 2 boards weaker but still very strong.           Alzgarvin

I totally agree, this is no a hook monster.  I drilled this in the number 1 layout and it was only a little sooner than my domination on a med house shot.  This ball is totally no what they advertise and I wil not buy another hammer unti they start making some qualtiy stuff,  I was a hammer fanatic when they reintroduced themselves a few years back but i dont like whre they are going with their product in the last couple of years.

I think this ball could fit into someones lineup easily, but will be disappointed if they are looking to cover 30 boards.

I just drilled this ball up this past thursday. I used the drill spec #1. This ball held up to what I expected out of it. I saw an earlier roll out of it, and a strong and continuous back end. Even on the fresh oil I saw this. I was pleased whith how it rolled for me. I saw this ball about three boards or so stronger then my RS-X at 1000 with the CG about 2-3" off the center of grip and pin up above the ring. I was also able to use this ball as I opened up the lanes a bit simply by moving left some. I missed right a couple times and then actuly wanted to put the ball out a bit and it came back with out question with plenty of pop at the pocket. This ball does hook. AT least for me it covers some boards.

I agree with you. I drilled my No Mercy about a week ago and have used it about 10-12 games so far and I really like it. I used the #1 suggested drilling and this ball does cover some boards, I will tell you that. Please remember, the box finish on this ball is 4000 abralon so if you want more hook, take it down to 1000 and watch this thing go..

I am looking forward to playing around with the surface some more to get the exact reaction I am looking for..

I have one too, drilled with layout #1.  With only a couple of games on it, I really love it.

After watching the vid of this ball and the Black Widow how can one not want this ball? I just made up my mind. I buying the NO MERCY! I'm making the call tomorrow to see if my pro shop guy can locate one for me.

Is Hamer not on top of the ball market or what?
