One of my pro shops has one now, but hasn't had time to drill it yet.

They have a bunch, yea, but other companies have more. Ebonite has 30 if you count the Maxim's, storm has 32 on the current line up.

But then again u might be posting this because they are a small company, unlike ebonite and storm which are 2 of the big 4 companies.

Yeah, that's who it is John. My World Class should be in Tues or Wed. Galen recommended a 2.5" to 2.75" pin for me and all she had was a 3.25"

It's better to have a few and great quality, than to have a bunch and so-so quality.....

Ebonite has 15 balls out not 30 you can't count the different colored plastics...

Lanemasters is such a small company and pumping out that many equipment can't be good for business, I know it scared me off a little.

Regardless, I'm eagerly awaiting the 2 I have coming in the next few weeks.

The thing to remember is that these are between their two lines.  Also alot of these balls have been on the market for 2-3 years.  My distributor closed out about 6 of those balls and they haven't been available during the summer. We will see if they are in the new catalouge.

I think its good that they expand their line up.  They didn't really have many options for med-lighter oil volumes and shorter patterns.

I don't have the exact numbers, but off hand there are 2 companies and not one. Legends and Lanemasters. If you want to call it one company, thats fine, but be sure to combine Hammer with Ebonite and recount the balls. Legends and Lanemasters have put out something like 20-22 balls over 2 to 2 1/2 years or so. If you average that out, that is approximately  10-11 balls a year for two companies combined or an average of 5-6 balls per company per year whis is far-far less than Ebonite and others put out.

Sorry, balls are balls, so you have to count the colored ones also.

First, It's just plain stupid to count the different color equipment. The Maxim is 1 ball no matter how many freaking colors there are.

And Lanemasters/Legends is 1 company, they have 1 R&D team, 1 contact address, staff members can throw both. There Just split them up into 2 seperate divisions for some odd reason.

I'm inclined to agree. While the Legends were originally intended to be the premium line, I think that distinction has blurred a little bit over the past year or so. Oddly I have had slightly better and more consistent results from Legends balls, but not by a huge factor. Still I remain slightly that much prejudiced towards the Legends balls.

Twist it however you want Joe, but Legends/Lanemasters still has not putting out as many balls as Ebonite and several other companies over the past 2 years plus Legends/Lanemasters keep their ball line-ups longer than other companies, so it may be possible to look at their line-up at all the balls still on the market and say they have too many balls, pumping out too many balls and etc. whereas in reality, that isn't the case.

Personally I love the balls that Legends / Lane Masters comes out with. The more the merrier. I would like a wide selection to choose form. Right now I am just having a hard time differentiating between the power of their balls. Other companies make their high hooking balls out to be their top end balls. But the way I look at Legends balls is that the same time, effort, and money go into their low hooking balls, as do their high hooking balls. They chince on nothing and that is what has separated them from the pack for me. Enjoy

We all like to have a wdie selection, but the problem, I believe, becomes one of sales. Most sales for any company comes from Pro Shops. Lanemasters being a smaller company can have a hard time getting a "foot in the door", so to speak. When a Lanemasters representative comes to a pro shop to explain their line-up or even if the distributor gets a pro shop a few balls at a low cost to get on thr pro shops bbowling ball display, if the pro shop guys do not know the line up well to give bowlers a chance to use these new balls, the grass roots will not and cannot support further growth.

Having such a long list of balls from such a small company can easily confuse even the sharpest bowling mind, in which Brunswick, Columbia, Ebonite, etc. already safely reside. Remember that few bowlers are actually on the internet, learnign and discovering about these great new balls. Maybe 95% or more get their info from the pro shop guys and drillers. Word of mouth always helps, but people rely on the pro shop or seeing good high average bowlers use their balls often and readily.
