It's about a score, not an award.

What means more, shooting the score, or wearing a ring?

What means more, winning the USBC Open, or having an eagle to display?

What means more, knowing you did something, or telling someone else you did it?

What good is doing something if you can't brag about it? LOL.

I see your point... but sometimes it's nice to have an award that you dig up once in a while that will bring an old memory back for a moment.  Plus, like Rev-O has pointed out, to those with very few outstanding accomplishments or awards it could mean a lot more than it does to someone who has had much more success.

Why should mediocrity be rewarded?

Yearly there are about 50,000 300s shot....

Is that not enough?

Hey guys haven't alot of us shot multiple 3s in our time? Do we need more rings? Why? I don't need a ring for every 300 I shot. I would quit complaining and Bowl.

Maybe you have shot a lot of 300's but the majority of bowlers haven't. For example I bowl in a league that has 20 teams with 5 men on a team. So thats 100 bowlers x 3 games a week x 35 weeks which equals 10,500 total games for the season. So out of 10,500 games we had 3 300 games last year. Doesn't seem like a lot to me. The USBC should at least give a bowler their 1st 298, 299 and 300 ring for free and then make them pay for any additional rings if they want them.
