Anyone with a high 700 or even an 800 series without a 300 game?

My high series is a 782, and in that set my high game was a 268.  I've had maybe  5 series over 720, but my high game overall is a 279, 9 in a row.  For whatever reason I can't seem to get that perfect game.  I know it's nerves, and when I get nervous my mechanics go in the toilet.

I know there are other guys out there in the same position or guys that used to be in my position.  What did you guys do to get over that hump?

my friend has had a 792 with out a 300.....im not sure what his games were

My first Sanctioned 800 series was: 300-268-279 = 847

My first Sanctioned 300/no 700 series was: 191-300-195 = 686

Also have a Sanctioned 4 game Series of: 289-279-268-280 = 1116

In 1985 with an AMF Gold Angle in a Sunday morning league with about 3 hours of sleep, I shot 246,265,235--746.
 Fast forward to 2002. I had just gotten my HPD back from the pro shop from a resurfacing and had just enough time to throw 2 shots in warmups.I went 200--279-ten pin in the seventh--and 267---front 7,then 9 pin spares in the 8th,9th,and 10th---another 746!!!!!!!!!!!
 Personal high series did include a 300----770--with the flu no less,but that's another thread.............

yup got one of those 777 I dont remember the games but I know none were over 280

Yeah i had a good one with no 300 in it. i had 849 with a 299 game

799 (277, 277, 245)  Had the front 9 the second game.  Still kicking myself over that set because I should have bowled at least 830 that night.

Made 10 board move left, same break point
296 finished last frame of the second game with X front 11 in the third

I must say I am 800less but i have had a nice set with a 300 in it. 258, 300, 147(struck out for the 147) for a 707.  Also a proud owner of a 602 series with a 299 in the last game

289,241,229=759
255,234,217=749

also have had 2 other 700's(701,706)

still no 300 for me, but i'll get one.
my 289 i had the same problems. I got nervous, especially when the WHOLE bowling alley is watching you. Threw a good pitch left a solid 10 pin.
I'm 15, so i hope to have my big 3-0-0 by the time im out of high school.

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.
