Arson Low Flare replacement

I used to have a 14lb Hammer Arson Low Flare drilled pin up slightly above and in the middle of my fingers.  It had their max-control pearl cover and was 2.50RG and .020 diff.

I gave the ball to my son and had it re-drilled for him.  Unfortunately I'm bowling in a tough house and my current arsenal isn't working out.  I'm thinking I want my Arson Low Flare back because it just might solve my problems there. 

What do you think would be a good substitute currently on the market for the Arson Low Flare???  It doesn't have to be Hammer or Storm product.

There's nothing currently similar to the Low Flare. You have balls like the Motiv Venom Shock, Track Ruby Kinetic, or Brunswick Magnitude 035 which are low rg and lower diff but the covers are quite a bit stronger than the Low Flare.

The Radical Rack Attack Solid is probably closest but hard to find now as they've been discontinued for awhile now. I got a rack attack pearl but it's still a little too angular at times even with a shorter pin layout

Not sure.  Low rg, low diff balls are hard to find.  Based on the numbers the IQ tour might be a good option although I think it might have a stronger cover.  I just drilled a blue vibe remake that I think I will like on a lot of tournament patterns.  Definitely a ball I can keep in front of me on a lot of shots.

I've seen guys use the burgundy hammer during tournaments on some tougher short patterns that needed control but more than pure urethane

To keep in mind, a knowledgeable ball driller can take up to 28% of the core strength out of a ball with a proper weight hole.  Find a 2.50 rg ball with a pearl or hybrid cover and keep the diff as close to .030 (or less) as you can.
Worth considering, if you want to think about it. That cover may be unique, though.
Surface changes are always an option.

Loved the Arson Low Flare; hated the IQ Tour (just too strong a coverstock for the light oil I see). It is not the solution for an ALFP.

Closest balls I have is the Fanatic BTU, drilled mild with a higher VAL angle (50 degrees or larger) or the Lane Masters Tiger Wasp, a little know control ball with many of the same traits of the ALFP. Possibly the new Fanatic BTU Pearl will also fill this gap but I have not seen or tried one yet.

I would drill a Cherry or Blue Vibe pin down 5" no hole.

My Rhino and Arson are drilled the same; Rhino is weaker with more length and more backend. They're almost complements rather than equals.
Arson works for medium-light to medium oil, while the Rhino requires light to as much medium-light oil.

Hmmm, I have an Arson Low flare I haven't used.

Hmm, I have a Brunswick new Rhino that is explosive for me on the backend.  Starting to get a track and become almost controllable for me(always takes awhile).

Some ideas out here. TY.

Just a quick update.  Went to my PSO and didn't have anything mentioned above in stock so he said he would redrill my ball for free.  Me and my son have almost the same span but I have bigger fingers so no plugging was necessary.  My son is mad, but he will get over it when he gets a new ball very soon.  Or I will just give him my tropical storm hybrid.

Anyway, the Arson Low Flare allowed me to do just what I wanted in this difficult house.  Played straight up between the 1st/2nd arrow with a gradual smooth move to the pocket.  Never went high the entire night.  All shots were in the pocket or just a little thin. Coming across the middle of the lane in this house is a risky proposition, lots of over under and very little forgiveness for a house hack like myself.

My Arson Low Flare will stay in the bag permanently from now on.  I love the control and smoothness of that ball.  Not as much hitting power or carry as my other balls, but when things are tight, this ball will keep me safe.
