What are the two worst bowling balls you've ever thrown?

I would have to say the Fury

I would also disagree with The One and the Resurgence that were previously mentioned.

Ebonite V2 Sweet: Tried it out at a demo day and loved it. Drilled one up and used it at a variety of houses and a variety of conditions and seemed to be a no tap machine.

Storm Barbed Wire: I can see why Ryan Shafer had a case of these as a spare ball.
Didn't live up to what I saw like the Hot Wire...

Count me as a Raging Inferno fan. It only did one thing for me, which was down and in on a heavy oil shot, but it did it pretty well. You'd better have a LOWWWWWW axis tilt if you want to swing this ball. And actually, a guy bought it off me who had some weird drilling where his thumb was in the ball but way farther over to the left and it generated a lot of revs...he stacked it and drilled a strong hole while also dulling it down and he was going coast to coast on our house shot with it. I also was a huge fan of the Smokin' Inferno and shot my 300/785 with it

Now the Scorchin' Inferno...that ball just flat out SUCKED. Maybe if it was marketed as a medium oil ball and came shined it would have been pretty awesome, but as a heavy oil ball it was just terrible.

1. An oldie most will agree with--Columbia Orange Dot.  Wouldn't knock over a lincoln log, much less a pin.

2. A newer one most liked-- Storm El Nino GOLD.  After three different drillings and 1/2 dozen surfaces, I NEVER got a reaction out of this ball I could recognize.

Running a close third seems to be a Mo-Rich Lev-RG. It was drilled with Mo's control drilling, so I plugged the thumb for a span change, ball did NOTHING.  Full plug and re-drill stronger, STILL NOTHING.
Another full plug and re-drill with pin-to-pap of 6, pin-to-mb of 2 1/2 finally got it to do something, but I already had balls that would do as good or better than this. I now have over $135 in a three and a half drill ball that isn't particularly all that good. Now that I got laid off, I wish I had my money back!

Angular One and Fury, wound up giving both of those balls away to JBT bowlers.

I waited to respond for this reason. Look at all the balls listed here and they run the whole gamut, from early rolling oil pieces, to late skid/snap pieces.

There are very few BAD bowling balls. Just ones that are bought by the wrong bowler and/or for the wrong conditions. One of the problems we see at our pro shop is that a bowler wants a particular ball because his friend is killing it with that ball. Nevermind that their games are entirely different and play different parts of the lane... and sometimes at different houses with varying lane surfaces.

If we suggest altering the ball's surface to enhance carry, they give us this bewildered look like, why? Is that legal?  Every ball will have it's strong points, and weaknesses if used at the wrong time. If you're wanting and "heavy oil ball" to skid/snap you're barking up the wrong tree...

This is exacly what i was thinking..

other than a bad production run like the Striking motion had.. anu ball will be good for the right bowler and condition wich can change by bowler.

No two people throw it the same..

Brunswick Swamp Monster
Columbia U Dot (burgundy)

The Swamp Monster was a giant green marshmallow.  I gave it to my brother in law who throws a backup ball.

I agree 100% with what you are saying. We can still say that they are the worst balls we have used though. As I stated I absolutely hated the Pacific Storm I gave it to someone else who loved it. I tried the Ebonite Omega and I could not figure that ball out at all. Sometimes it would hook out of the house then next time it was a dud.
Now with what you are saying I should have said the Track TKO since I was told by 3 different pro shop people that ball would be terrible for me. I loved that ball. For some reason I trusted that ball more then anything I had at the time. If I was struggling with another ball I could pick up the TKO and get locked in.
