Ball Expo - Toms River

Went to the ball expo today in Toms River.  Got there around 11:20 & most of the tables were set.  Did not see Roto Grip, Dynothane & Brunswick.  Couple of quick notes:  Frankie May is just a terrific guy.  His passion for bowling really stands out.  Picked up a great video from him on ball selection and layouts.  Highly recommend it.  Lane #1 guys were great.  Got a free FOS T shirt and picked up a Solid Cobalt in the process.  Really disappointed in Carter's Pro Shop there.  Called mid week about a pearl cobalt and Tsunami and was told they would have them for the ball expo.  Also read in a previous thread about their distributors truck being there.  Walked in to the Pro Shop and no Cobalt Pearls, no Tsunami's, pretty much not much of anything.  I was thrilled to walk out with the Cobalt Solid which I got from the lane 1 guys considering nothing else was available.  Just ranting and would love to here anyone else's thoughts that went down.

I attended. I was the guy bowling by himself on lane 11 with Track equipment (Grey t-shirt, black sweats). Sue (the Track rep) was wonderful. She remembered me from the 8/13 seminar in New York, and gave me some pointers that follwed up on what I was working on then. I thought you save money when you go to these things, but I was wrong. I was going to buy a pair of SST7's, but I'm getting them from Buddies. The Dexter rep was nice and explained to me how they modified the shoe to avoid the toe sticking. Frankie May was very nice also.

Was it me, or did the pro shop guys seemed pissed off about something?

The guy who helped me was very nice but really had no knowledge of inventory.  Kept asking other people what balls they had in stock.  I got ten percent off the Solid Cobalt so it came to $193.00 with tax.  Not too bad!!

The pro shop guy told me $213.00 with tax and drilling or $193.00 w/o drilling.  No big deal since I drill my own stuff.  If I bought it online $209.00 so I saved a couple of bucks.  No big deal.

Conspirator300 I'm glad you weren't there also,   your bad attitude and the way you talk to people would of ruined the show,  but you know your used to it as I don't know of anyone who likes you.
