ball spinner

I'm getting ready to buy a ball spinner.  I'm leaning toward getting a two speed from Donkee.  can I get any input about them?

Yes, don't...

They're all made from plastic and they'll throw a ball at you and risk injury.

Step it up to a Vertex.

Well, I built one myself for the occasional surface jobs at home, but if I was to buy one, my vote would also go to the Vertex. I used one, and it is very stable and durable, even though simple. Import of a 220V version was just too pricey (for my limited needs), so I settled on a home-made solution.

The Vertex one is pimpalicious.  Can't speak for the Donkee though because I haven't used one...

The vertex is a much better quality spinner.  I have used both and the Donkee just wobbles all over.  I have no clue how anybody could get a consistent shine with that spinner, god forbid they try to sand a ball down with it.  Only thing I like about it... 2 speeds, and it does have a very high RPMs.  The vertex doesn't spin as fast, plain and simple.  But It doesn't shake at all, even if its not bolted down.  Been using it a lot for 2 years now and haven't had a single problem with it.  Its the best "cheap" spinner I've ever used.

Jeremy

Note:  go with the 1/2 horse one, I've heard of problems with the 1/3 horse.  Like being able to stop the ball from spinning just by holding on to it.  the 1/2 horse has none of those problems.
