Can you imagine if BR existed in 1970?  What would we talk about?

No interchange shoe soles.  
One color bowling balls.
No arsenals.
No "I FINALLY got my 300 posts".

Although, CG placements would be discussed!  Gotta max that side weight in those rubber balls!

I hate the paper scoresheets and the cheap pencils they give you. The pencils do not even have erasers! And the ashtrays on the score table are always full. However, some bowlers put cigarette ashes on their sliding shoe, so smoking will always be part of bowling.

Our center just switched from the good old reliable, thick, reusable telescore sheets to these cheap, paper-thin disposible plastic sheets.  Now, I keep burning my hands on the telescore.

Had to bowl in a tournament over the weekend at that center on Joseph Campau and can you believe that on the upstairs lanes, they have one ball return rack for every four lanes?  Meanwhile, that new center on Telegraph Rd just got underground ball return racks - imagine not having a ball return rack all the way to the lane.  Now, the league bowlers can really run out their strikes.

The local proshop just got in this really cool thingamajig that is installed into his workbench and it can spin a ball really fast so he can use sandpaper to smooth out the nicks and gouges, I guess.  I mean, what else could it be good for?
