i know its annoying but if they are not in your track i would leave them alone.  How deep is the chip.  Depending on the chip i would have complained to couter and have the proshop repair it.  If it just a surface knick not much you can do about that those will happen.  I wouldnt play with the surface unless you have to.

As RevLefty puts it: as long as the chip is not in your track or at a drilled hole, I would not take action. Sh!t happens, that's life. A friend of mine had a big chunk bitten out of his new AI, the size of a coin, during the first shots...

With some later resurfacing, the chip might disappear, and I achieved good results to fill such a damage with a Tamiya 2-compound model kit epoxy putty - very durable, just ochre in color...

Looks like a surface knick...not to deep but you can see it well, and feel it...so getting the ball resurfaced won't take care of it?

Depends on the depth.  Have your proshop guy look at it.  Its too hard for us to say for sure, even if you posted a pic.

I had that happen. Pro shop filled it in and I can barely notice it.

My Vapor Zone in the picture in my profile has a nickle sized scrape on the back side of the ball thats in my track. Its kinda rough but you know what, I have not seen any decrease in the balls performance at all. I think sratches, nicks, gouges, whatever, I beleive it all to be a mental thing.

I'll be at Nationals in May. Vegas is just an excuse to get out of work, gamble, do some networking and see some old friends.

It is either the gold coast or the orleans.  Not sure where this season.
