need advice on mid price ball
« on: January 18, 2009, 05:10:38 AM »
Team member is wanting a new ball that is aggressive but not high price. He plays down and in with Hammer sling blade. Am going to suggest the Copperhead. Any other thoughts would be helpful.

Where does he want the aggression?  Is he looking for alot of overall hook or more backend hook?

The Copperhead will be very smooth, and with some shine will make a more pronounced move late.

If he wants a more skid/snap reaction then I'd recommend the new Rattler, which is very strong late on the lane. For a slightly less snappy reaction the Swarm is great, too.

The Wild Ride is also something unique in that it can handle more oil than the above mentioned balls, yet still finish quite strong. This one should cost slightly more than the Swarm or Rattler. Good luck to him.

You can get the Cell Pearl very reasonable. Works for Wes Malott. Ogre Pearl is also very good.

You must not know very many bowlers than.  Not to mention many of the mid priced balls have the same cover/core as some of the past high end stuff.

You can't beat the Hammer Raw series....Anger, Psycho and Acid for price vs performance.  Above and beyond the expectations for the money.

BINGO! All of them are great pieces, and the Acid is a new benchmark for Hammer
