Newest joke of a video . . Buzzbomb

Just what is Lane 1 trying to get at here?  A guy that dumps the ball has recovery from 5 on the Shark?  Especially dumping it from TWENTY out to five?  At least he put on the video that it was the night after league.  I can't bring myself to watch these videos all the way through.  I thought the Liberator video was dumb . . at least I made it further through this one though.  They're misinforming the people who are still learning, and insulting the intelligence of people that know better.  I had plenty of Lane 1 balls way back when . .  Cherry Bomb, Carbide LRG, Tsunami, Uranium, Uranium Solid, orginal pearl Viper, an Emerald, Blueberry, and a Cranberry.  Guess what?  All good balls . . liked them all.  Not knocking the balls, knocking the presentation.  Compare those videos to Brunswick's videos.  Somebody that knows what they're doing, someone who throws the ball well, they compare it to other balls, let you know what moves they make and where, and if they claim it's a sport pattern, he actually hits the same target more than once.  Go ahead and bash me . . Lane 1 just needs to seriously up the quality and substance of their videos.  Watching those videos makes me want to avoid them like the plague.

Well you are the one missing out on a great ball, why do you even go there does anyone else post how boring the brunswick videos are??? I fall asleep from watching Billy throw the ball, he has a monotone voice and throws it so well that i think i am watching a robot.

i like that lane 1 puts out those videos as they are entertaining... but thats all they are, entertainment.

its really a shame when I see the ads for the buzzbomb. claims like double the core, double your score.

really??? so ill average 420 on a THS? (i know the ads are a joke and just designed to get your attention but seriously... we would all be better without these kinds of ads)

I really like lane 1 and they make some great balls. but prices are getting even worse and as was already stated... the videos are misleading.

They're meant to be informative, not entertaining . .  And if you're truly interested in bowling, they're not boring.  I'm a bowling nut, but a purist at the same time.  Savoia and his spray it everywhere and watch it hook videos irritate me, they do nothing for bowling.  Just like I hate how Denny's is plastered all over everything on the PBA, Lane 1's ball videos are in the same category.

Btw even Britton show his misses on his site, do you never miss or do you always hit the pocket every shot???  

I am not a Lane 1 defender even though today it seems that way, i still Richie is a big Donk and his T-God drilling ideas for all of us are lame. I know he is T-God from all the crazy static ideas, Richie defends his static weight BS to the bitter end.

What kind of cheese?  And mrbowlingnut, you've got a point there.  I'd love to see some misses on the videos to show exactly what you can and can't do with the ball.  Videos that do nothing but strike are in my opinion lacking in depth . . but at least Brunswick videos compare the featured ball to other balls, which basically does the same thing for me, as I have a few of the balls they normally compare against.  I know the strengths and weaknesses of those balls, and all their ball lines have a characteristic to them, so it's not too hard to predict what the new ball will do.  But yes, I'd love to see misses in videos.  Or not necessarily misses, but attempts from different lines.

The point is not that you can play different lines, the point is that the video was supposed to be on the Shark pattern. You do not swing a ball like that on the shark pattern. He said it was very beat up but still I dont think you could swing the ball like he does in the video unless maybe the lanes had about 50 games on them, which could have been the case.

The biggest issue with this is, if you are going to shoot it on a Sport shot, don't put it on one that is dried up. Thats false advertisement and very misleading if you don't know the whole just.

How many people want to see a video of a used up sport pattern? Not me. I want to see it on a fresh shot because I dont' play on a used up sport shot in the PBA league. We start out fresh and we dont' have 30 boards of swing room on a shark pattern.

Thats why I think everyone is aggravated by the video. I like videos for seeing how the ball can react but when you bowl on fried lanes, that doesn't help me for a fresh shot of league or help anyone else for that matter.

If you'd actually watch Savoia's videos in detail and get over the fact that he (like 99.9% of the population) is not throwbot, you might learn something.

The bottom line is that Mike's video's show how different Lane#1 balls react when thrown on different parts of the lane. Again, the way that 99.9% of bowlers bowl. He shows stroker style, cranker style, outside, inside, and different speeds.

As another poster stated, the Brunswick videos are pure and simply boring. Billy is a robot in the sequences where he's filmed throwing the ball, so what do you get out of that? He made the Fury look like the greatest thing since sliced bread, but for the masses, the ball was a bust and is now out of production. So what did that Brunswick dog and pony show video actually prove?

If you can't watch Lane#1 videos and project how the balls would react in your hand, you have some serious bowling issues.

If you people are defending this video need to wake up.  There is no way anyone can get recovery playing 20 to 3 on the shark pattern.  That ball is in the ditch everytime.  I just watched the video and was laughing the whole time.  On a house shot yeah, but the shark?!?! LOL! The guy has a solid release but to get 10+ boards of room on a pba pattern is insulting to the pros that compete on real shots every week.

You can take almost any pro on tour and they would be able to stand left and hook this ball back with no problem, if not from the get go, after a couple of games, no problem. Get a life and get over the fact that this ball just flat out hooks as much as any ball on the market, if not more..!! =:^D

a) defies the laws of physics all the while getting a pass from USBC

b) goes horribly unthrown on the PBA tour by guys scraping by for a living
