Latley, in my Traveling league, I feel that Im not bowling up to what I think I should be, but for the last four weeks, I havent shot a set under 659 (674, 675, 664 and 659).  It seems that the scoring is good, considered that I'm 5th in average with a 215, which anyone in my town will tell you that that is pretty good, but I feel that I can bowl better.  

I didn't bowl in this league last year due to working 2nd shift, so I had to get used to the lanes again, learning over what each house is, and what stuff to use.  I have been experiementing, a BUNCH!  But to be bowling this good, does this mean only better things are awaiting?  Or am I a bonehead of thinking of this?  Mabey I should practice more............

Trust me on this as it is one thing that I have learned....Never get upset when you are scoring good and bowling badly as it won't be long before you are bowling good and scoring badly...lol. It's kind of funny how that works out and sometimes you bowl good and carry well and those are the nights when you stay after league and fill out paperwork...
 In all seriousness though, to be putting up good numbers while you aren't tossing well usually means that you are doing something small that isn't just right. Don't fret about it as it may just be a small varience in timing or being that it is a traveling league maybe the different patterns/breakdowns and surroundings. Different approaches can affect your game even if you don't really notice. I really and I'm just giving an "educated" guess here think that may be it as the different approaches give you different leverage points as well as make small adjustments in your timing. Just try to concentrate on your footwork and see if that helps any and maybe those 670's become 770's. Good Luck.

Hey congrats strapper, good bowling. I had one of those nights last night that started well then fizzled. I threw the back 7 for 257 and won my match by 9 sticks then, 215, 209 (681). Not too bad and slightly above avg (225) in that league. Only problem.....the guy I was bowling goes 248, 278, 288 (814). All I could do was try to get what I could and help my team, as he was rolling. Lefty with a red pearl hammer (the old one), what are gonna do....lol.
